At present, we are releasing ToME as a beta version (version 0.6). With your help, we will be able to test the mod beyond what out alpha playtesters could accomplish.
So please try it out and let us know about any bugs you spot, or any suggestions and balance tweaks using the ToME Official Page or through comments right here.
Go ahead, jump right into Middle-earth. Only a small download away...

Probably by next month.
Hey, this mod is SO VERY COOL!! really nice work :)
but i have a question: how can you change population to like 1000?
I have mods but i can OR do unlimit population OR do the mod.
The 1000 population feature has been added by UserPatch. You could try that.
Install UserPatch first, then install ToME on top of it. That should give you access to all UserPatch features, including the 1000 pop!
it gives me error when trying to instal userpatch (i have the colectors edition
We aren't making it explicitly harder, but smarter! The new AI will have the the capability to build the new units in ToME, research the new techs, and have the knowledge of ToME-specific strategies and counters. That will make the AI smart, challenging and more fun to play! :)
Well making it harder wouldn't have been a bad idea anyway, since at the moment the hardest AI is way to easy to defeat :P
Hehe... Well, the fact the AI is getting smarter means its difficulty is going to increase a notch or two. But this doesn't mean it'll become insane!
As long as they don't attack me with armies of 30 banner bearers any more I'll be happy ;)
