"We just have received word that a group of terrorists took over the Lonely Weapons Laboratory near Seattle. No more information are currently available. The CEO of Lonely Weapons, Fuzzy Mcgee is currently missing and we have not been able to establish contact with the terrorists. Your main objective is to infiltrate the laboratory and find Mcgee. Find information. I want to know who is behind this." The third person mod, Half-Life: Tactical Espionage Action puts the player in the role of secret agent Frank Johnson. His mission? To stop evil!

Inspired by the Metal Gear Solid Series, Half Life: Tactical Espionage Action was developed.

After 2 years it´s done. On the basis of the Spirit of Half Life Modification the Ninja Mod was formed. TEA is based on that one. The entire 3rd Person Technique was developed with countless Entities with no extra code.

Unfortunately it´s not free from bugs. But it got it´s limits. Thanks to all that helped out and have fun with it.

It was okay, took awhile to understand what I needed to do, I do not like how the gun has no ammo limit what-so-ever. As well as even if your spotted, you can not kill, Or GAME OVER. Overall I liked it, the third person feel was great.

Game idea and design is good but the crappy controls kill it. You can play it through but more than not you fight with the controls instead of the tasks at hand. Not sure though how much of that can be fixed as it's Half-Life under the hood. Thought what would be good to be fixed is
- Getting constantly stuck in map geometry and killed soldiers
- Applying turning commands before attack commands (otherwise you end up kicking everywhere but not where you want)
- Fixing camera while aiming down (your head fills the entire screen so you see nothing at all).
If that would be fixed it would get a good-verygood from me. Right now though I can only give it a mediocre-good due to the heavy controls issues.

it does look good, but it always amazes me that some modders put in so much time to make something great, and then release it with bugs, what kills that game fun. why not take 2 months extra to fix these issues??
i really don't understand that, although i do know as no one else that fixing bugs is most of the times very frustrating and time assuming.
but that can't be the reason why you don't do it....

Because the community get very whiny and cry if mods aren't released quickly.

It is also probably that they simply aren't aware of them. You can only get a limited amount of people to test the mod. Until you actually release it you have no way of finding most of the bugs.
