Synergy is a Half-Life 2 co-opertive multiplayer modification.
We have evolved from multiple mods (DC Co-op 2, Dev Co-op and Tim-Coop). This modification strives to give Half-Life players a true Half-Life 2 cooperative experience.
The mod features our own levels and the ability to play the Half-Life 2, Episode One and Episode Two campaigns cooperatively.
In addition, you can add more content by installing third-party mods, such as ROCK 24 and MINERVA: Metastasis, then playing them in Synergy!

Hello everyone!
It has been pretty chaotic, to say the least, the past few months with real life events happening. Finally though, this new version of Synergy is ready for public use!
The most significant feature to this version, would be the nearly flawless Linux server - *provided* that you move the other shared game directories ("hl2", "episodic", "ep2", "metastasis", "minerva", "rock 24", ...) out of the "orangebox" directory and onto a partition using a case-insensitive filesystem (such as VFAT or NTFS) and then symlink to those directories from the "orangebox" directory, or alternatively if you don't have such a partition, you can use ciopfs.
Of course, that only applies to server administrators using Linux.
Players would be interested in these things:
* multiplayer auto-save points - where players are at save time, is where they will be restored to if a load occurs
* two new voice menu commands
* implemented voting system - players can vote kick, change level, reload last save point and change skill level
* updated to the new source code base - this gives us a 100% working third-person view camera, TF2 player avoidance and stability
* made it easier to donate by showing the player's Steam ID on the DONOR FEATURES window
* updates to entities: point_viewcontrol, info_player_equip, player_loadsaved
* many bug fixes and crashes have been fixed
You can view the full change log for version 14 right here.
I apologize for the long wait, please enjoy this update!

Giggity giggity giggity
90% completed now? Awesome! XD
what we've implemented is the ability to have your OWN custom player models that work ingame without *messing* up the model becuase of how hl2 handles models.
(custom game models on a server that didnt have your own models would cuase your models to *fall apart* and look like a demented piece of crap)
What this does is fix that and allow you to select your own custom player model ingame, along with the ability to have a specific set of sounds for each model. Example: Your downloaded Custom ALIENS soldier model could shout "Game over man, Game over!!!" upon death AND have another custom model with an entirely different voice.
Oooo hankey i beatya to it :D!
Why does everyone not understand correctly when I say "custom player models"? Ok listen to me, very closely. The custom player model system is like the HALF-LIFE 1 player model system. Players can add and remove models as they please as long as they don't remove or mess up the DEFAULT model. In addition, players can set up specific sounds for their custom models. So NO, those mods you stated have only THEIR default models. I HIGHLY DOUBT that players can add and remove player models in those mods...
Its hl1-style custom player models
as in (if you dont have halo.mdl you see gordon.mdl)
the hidden source
plan of attack
dawn of the dead
battle grounds II
calibur mod
dystopia
Forsaken
Theres probably some more mods with working custom models I have forgotten. The first two have working betas already and dystopia will too soon.
Alright people... I just finished the code for custom player models and I think it's safe to say we're the first mod in Half-Life 2/the Source engine to have functional custom player models as well as custom sounds to go with each one of them. Remember the name SYNERGY well. :)
