NEW THINGS ADDED IN THE NORMAL PLAYTHROUGH
-106 Elite monsters
-106 Hero monsters
-6 Rare dragons
-6 extremely Rare world bosses spawning in the major areas of the map
-A new vendor in Estherian Enclave that will sell alternative leveling dungeon maps
-A portal to the end game TABLE MOUNTAIN city.
-New quests, new hairstyles, more faces, more customizations!
-New pets associated with the Necromancer and Paladin.
-New HP / Mana and Fame UI
A whole new class, the Necromancer. The first truly new class for Torchlight 2.
2 new classes which are NOT finished Warlock, and Paladin
A WHOLE NEW BALANCE POINT
-Gear is better, monsters are harder, ALL BOSSES are harder.
-Green and Blue magical items have better affix rates, Uniques have better base DPS and Armor.
-Two handed and dual wielding have better bonus's, shields have a small cast delay for their increased survivability.
-Monsters spawn more numerous throughout the game
-Skills unlock at a earlier rate, but take longer to progress between points, ending at or above vanilla standards.
END GAME RAIDS
-Derinkuyu 105 contains 10 randomly selected different maps, sold in tablemountain on the Salan vendor
-7 full sets of legendary armor (70 new legendary armor pieces) set at just above level 100 unique values (harbingers, transcended, etc) each with their own UNIQUE re-textures made exclusively for SynergiesMOD and dropped from Raid Bosses
-18 new Tier0 Legendary Weapons dropped from Raid Bosses
-new Trash mobs for the Derinkuyu 105 dungeon, with raid wide specific 'Trash Loot' tables including another 13 legendary weapons
-14 Brand new raid boss encounters will keep you on your toes, 3 remixed old boss encounters (Grell and Grom the Murderer, Spectral Dragon) Each with their own MMO style loot tables.
-Boon scroll upgrades and much much more!

This is definitely a ten out of ten. From new classes to new creatures to new pets, hair styles, weapons, as well as a total rebalance of the entire game..this does it all. The Runic team did a great job, this adds to their design in a meticulously thought out way. For those of you who remember the MedianXL mod for Diablo II, the Titan Quest fan patch or the Sacred 2 fan patch, you'll be more than familiar with how this works. I just wanted to say this in case the mod maker didn't know:
I tried updating the mod before I posted this, and apparently the launcher for torchlight 2, from steam at least, has changed. Salan, you need to see this, because this made me panic.
...not only that but I'm not good with the drastic change that took place.
In general:
Salan could you update the tutorial to getting mods into Torchlight 2? This mod is amazing and the change to the new TL2 launcher screwed up my series of it. Give or take it wasn't a good one IMHO (rarely any comments so I have no idea), but still.
The mod community has actually been aware of this upcoming change for quite a while now. No need to panic, they'll probably add Syngergies to the workshop very soon. Forums.runicgames.com
I didn't know, which kinda screwed my youtube series of the mod over. I saw that the mod updated so I tried to reapply the mod, Confused as to what happened to the overall thing and thinking it wouldn't affect it, I lost my progress and don't think I'll be able to get it back.
I'm happy that it'll probably be added to workshop, because the way you do it now just confuses me on all levels. I'm just sad that I lost the progress I had so far, though it wasn't far into the game.

The way the launcher works now is that you can choose between playing vanilla or with your mods from steam workshop. However when you choose to use mods, the game creates a new separate file for saves, called modsave. While using mods you won't be able to use your characters created while playing vanilla. I don't know if that's what you mean by "lost progress" but if it is, you should try copying your save file in your C:\users\"yourusername"\documents\My Games\Runic Games\Torchlight 2\ file from "save" to "modsave". Hope this was somewhat understandable and helps.
Thank you for explaining this to me, but basically what I did was start the game up when the mod wasn't in due to the change. I didn't know if it was or not, and I started up the character. When I was able to play, as in move the character, he was invisible and I had the outlander skill trees for the necromancer (which is from the mod) class. That was the lost progress that I meant. The character is technically not playable as a necromancer anymore. I hope that explains it.

Uh low pop is more vanilla population centric, and normal is higher population faster skills
