hi in the next version can you allow the player to create a droid faction with droid culture and droid lords and give more recruits in town (100 friendship and 5 b2 series???) ....and please let the hacking menu...XD

It's strange to 'recruit droids' but we already had the droid faction culture for the player in mind. It might get done.

That would be pretty neat actually.

But I don't think you would have droid lords. During the existence of the CIS there were no droid commanders... Durge, Grievous, Sev'Rance Tann, Dooku... They weren't droids. But the Federation did used their OOM series as commanders. So we could perhaps split that on two cultures:

Comerce Federation - With B1 Battledroids and OOM commanders.
Independent Systems Confederation - With B2 Battledroids and human commanders.

To make it reallistic it might be better not letting the player to recruit droids, but citizens alone. ButBut giving him droids as garrison, guards and armies for the lords.

Since you need a factory (last I checked) for that, could you just change that one to say "Build Droids" or "Activate Droids" or something to that effect?

I've thought of that but I dunno if it's easy to code. Plus, if the federation recruits B1 and the Confederation B2... it wouldn't be balanced...

Plus, remember 2 things: In order to get droids you need factories / Not only droids were in the service of the Fed or de Confed.

Why don't you just have a separate upgrade tree for the B1 and B2 droids for a droid faction. I don't believe that there is anything that forces only one tier 1 unit type. Then you could have human/alien commanders for them since the OOM droids weren't true commanders. The OOM series commanders were not sentient and couldn't compute war strategies well. Using battle tactics and following strategic orders from the real owners/commanders was the primary function of the OOM series as far as I know.

What??????? OOM-9 Conquered all Naboo! Himself. He only lost the major battle because he was desactivated. He was going to crush all the remains of gungan forces.

maybe you can put the T-series as commander of the separatist droid army

What I was saying is that the OOM series are nonsentient, which is it cannot think abstractly. It can do very well the directives that it was programmed for. However, if he was faced with an unexpected and unprogrammed event, he would revert to his default action for the situation. In other words, the weakness of the OOM series is to break the programming by throwing something at it that it cannot account for.

In conclusion, the droid culture should not be led solely by OOM droids, but a combination. Humans/aliens for faction leader and major comanders; droids for minor commanders and most troops.

Neimodians and Technounionist would be the best option. But we have non yet...

that would be pretty cool, but shouldn't they be a minor faction?
they were only droids of course.

We are talking about culture, to faction. There is only 1 droid faction during the GCW, and has nothing to do with the CIS.

Well, if droids did have their own faction, I think that the capital should be raxus prime, thats a junk planet right?
In force unleashed Raxus prime was filled with robots and junk.

Oh my god... No. There can be no 'droids' faction. We follow canon.

The CIS just has some remants around Corellia and Lok I think. And the only other independant droids are those from the Droid Revolution, on Mechis. If we ever make factions with droids they will be these. But we are talking about culture, the player's faction culture. The option you choose so that your guards, etc, look one way or another.

Sad ok, jeeze, didn't mean to get you mad.

idk about Corellia but i know that the Imps were using the old CIS droids on lok and had all this secret shizz there like a mining base, droid factory that kind of stuff but it was totaly covert so u could maybe have a imperial-droid spec ops? with imperial commanders and droids as bodyguards and so on?

Imperials + CIS Droids = Corporate Sector. Take it a look in wookieepedia.

i don't have a huge knowledge of star wars lore but i always thought the droids we're 100% inteligent and conscious. i mean, they even feel pain and have feelings and sence of humour in the movies.
maybe that was just to add some humour. i don't know.
