SWAT4 Snitch Mod Pack v166r91 file

This is a server-side mod that was running on Frosty's Playhouse SWAT 4 Hell servers, for the COOP games.

The mod was under development (2008-2013), and I didn't finish it. I will fix the bugs, but I have no plan to resume the development for now.

Note: This "READ-ME" is written for Swat 4 Expansion.

MAJOR FIXES AND CHANGES

• (v166r91) Fixed a bug of SnitchMod plugin(Stand-alone version of Snitch), for which the server with SEF mod crashed when gbSMSysAutoMapChangeOnUnknownMap is ON(default on, checking the player existence each 5 min(as default value) for PreGame, each 1 min(as default value) for PostGame)
• (v166r88) Fixed a bug, for which gbSMSysAutoSpecDefaultNamedPlayers was not working.
• (v166r88) Fixed a bug, for which the dynamic obstacles stayed in the special state where player can go through them.
• (v166r80) Fixed a bug of Medic of Team Campaign game mode, where MedPack didn't apply the Painkiller(it removes some of the aim error comes from the limb injury) to its user unless Rush game mode is active.
• (v166r80) Fixed a bug of Medic of Team Campaign game mode, where its MedPack applied a largest amout of healing on its user who is protected by the Forcefield(one of the countermeasures for the team attack), by a single healing.
• (v166r79) I uploaded a wrong v166r78 package..., where SnitchMod.u in "SnitchMod with AMMod" folder is actually same to SnitchMod.u in "SnitchMod plugin" folder. I repacked them in v166r79. "settng.txt" in "SWAT4 Snitch Mod Pack\SWAT4 TSS Snitch Mod\SnitchMod with AMMod\Optional files for the public server" folder is also corrected since I forgot to add the gServerQueryListenPort property setting at [SnitchMod.Snitch] section in the old one; If you use Julia and GS1, and if you set gServerQueryListenPort the same port number to GS1.u, GS1 doesn't work properly and can't send the additional COOP info to the browser.
• (v166r78) Fixed a bug of Snitch mod plug-in, for which player class will be initialized with a wrong player ID after the specific event.
• (v166r77.2) Corrected from bLAN=True to bLAN=False in settings.txt and settings for SEF.txt of v166r77.1. Those settings and the additional U files are for the public server users. So, if you play in the local server, you should set bLAN=True so that you can see your local server in in-game local server(LAN) list of Swat4.exe or Swat4X.exe. Plus, you require only AMMod.u and SnitchMod.u for your local server, and no need of other U files, no need of the additional settings for them. So, ignore "settings.txt" and "settings for SEF.txt" when you play in your local server.
• (v166r77.1) Corrected settings.txt and settings for SEF.txt of v166r77
• Fixed a bug, for which players couldn't receive the reward items in the specific cases.
• Variable specifiers of some properties of the classes had to be changed. For this change, some of the configs can be changed only from the specific classes.
  Check those properties to make sure that your server works as expected with your settings modified in the previous build.
  For this, you can use the "Advanced Options" feature of SWAT 4.
  Take a look for the Note at SETTING NOTE section below when checkng/correcting your settings.
• (v166r62) Fixed a bug, for which the equipments of player's choice were ignored for the first spawn when the server runs with the "Non-Lethal" type server setting.
• (v166r59) Fixed a bug, for which, with the "Non-Lethal" type server setting, some of the equipments of player's choice were ignored in a specific condition.
• (v166r58) Added the corrections for "Non-Lethal" type servers.
• (v166r57) Fixed AI malfunctions in an encounter with a plyer, and while/after attacking a player. They are v166r56 specific bugs.
• (v166r57) Fixed a bug, for which "*Can't Report*" call by player didn't work in a specific case.

INI SETTING NOTE

Location: \SWAT 4\ContentExpansion\System\Swat4XDedicatedServer.ini

If you have old version of Snitch, it may be better for you to clear all settings of SnitchMod in Swat4XDedicatedServer.ini once.
As the easiest way to clean the INI, you can remove Swat4XDedicatedServer.ini from the directory. Swat4XDedicatedServer creates clean one for you at its next launch.

NOTE: You can check and/or modify the settings of Snitch mod from the "Advanced Options", which you can pop up by clicking on the SWAT 4 icon in the task bar. This way is available if you place SnitchMod.int in /System.

A. STEPS TO LAUNCH THE SERVER with Snitch and AMMod, THEN PLAY

NOTE:
Before overwriting files, make the backups, rename original files, or move original files into other place.

STEP 1:
Place SnitchMod.u(Must), AMMod.u(Must), and SnitchUserClient.u(Optional) in SWAT 4 ROOT\ContentExpansion\System\
In case that you play the game with other mods, SWAT 4 ROOT would be their root directory.

STEP 2
Launch SWAT 4 ROOT\ContentExpansion\System\Swat4XDedicatedServer.exe once and quit it, so that it creats a clean "Swat4XDedicatedServer.ini."

STEP 3
Open SWAT 4 ROOT\ContentExpansion\System\Swat4XDedicatedServer.ini, and then edit it for the mods.
You must add the 2 lines in [Engine.GameEngine] section to run Snitch and AMMod.

STEP 4:
Launch "Swat4X Dedicated Server."
To do so, launch Swat4X.exe, and then click "HOST GAME" in the main menu.

At "QUICK START" tab, choose the maps you like, and move them from the left pane to the right pane.
Choose "CO-OP" from "Game Type" drop-down list
Choose "LAN" from "LAN/Internet" drop-down list

At "ADVANCED" tab, check "Launch As Dedicated Server"

Click "Start" button at the bottom right corner to launch the server.

STEP 5:
Join the server and play the game.
To do so, Launch Swat4X.exe, and then click "JOIN GAME"
Enter your player name in the edit box at the bottom left corner.
Click "LAN" radio button at the bottom.
Choose the server name from the list and click "JOIN" button.

STEP 6:
In the game screen, activate the chat box by T key or Y key, and then enter *suc*. (A star + suc(stands for SnitchUserClient) + a star)
so that you can activate SnichUserClent.
If you see "USER" button appeared at the bottom of your game screen, the installing success, if not, something went wrong.

B. STEPS TO LAUNCH THE SERVER with SnitchMod plugin, THEN PLAY

If you play the SOLO game in your local PC, with SnitchMod plus other Mods combined
, Option-B may be an ideal option.
The difference from the Option-A is Option-B doesn't use AMMod.u.
So, with it you can get a better chance to avoid the conflict with the other mods.

Note: I never have tested this option in the multi-player game, so I add this Option-B only for single-player and solo game in your local PC

STEP 1:
Place SnitchMod.u(Must), and SnitchUserClient.u(Optional) in SWAT 4 ROOT\ContentExpansion\System\

STEP 4:
Launch "Swat4X Dedicated Server."
To do so, launch Swat4X.exe, and then click "HOST GAME" in the main menu.
