SWAT is a bran-new total conversion modification for Battlefield 2, based on swat operations. We have been in development for some time now, and it is finally time to reveal our project. Our goal is to provide you with unique gameplay that combines both the total mayhem of Battlefield 2 and the realism of the many swat operations and their tactics.
Now to the good stuff. Our artists have been hard at work for the past couple of weeks to provide you with a few goodies atlast. First we have a player model for the SWAT team, modeled and skinned by Havoc89. This is the assault class, and other classes are currently in production. Next we move onto the weapons. First we have the M4, modeled by Havoc89, and skinned by some0guy0. This weapon is assigned to swat's assault class. Next we have the FN P90, modeled by Havoc89, and skin is currently in production. This weapon is assigned to swat's special forces class. Lastly, we've got something special. A fictional prototype version of a weapon called the scorpion, modeled by wdtr. We are not revealing any information on this weapon as of yet.
We have a small but very dedicated team who is hard at work to bring this mod onto your hard-drive as soon as possiable.
ok, some people have been saying they do not like the p-90 we had shown, so i want to see what one everyone wants more, the original p-90 or this one Img479.imageshack.us please post telling what one you like more.

The P-90 is good (Yours), the guns are great, SWAT DOOOOOOOOOOO use laser sights, and this is just a game so all you kids just stop whining over "zomg diz isznt ah reelistik mud ima gonna go "u suk" nawuh k"

your playermodel is quite cool, i like the style and how modling and skinning fits together (stylewise).. even if his hands and feet are a bit wired..

lol, we only have one, and its not to fake, we saw a concept drawing of it that a military is thinking of making
also, with all the bf2 mods that are taking place in an area within the last 15 years we wanted to give players something new and not in ever other mod.
I like the new gun! :D Reminds me of some Sci-Fi gun i cant remember, but i think its a great new weapon.
What did you guys wanna see? more M16's, Grenades and AK47's ? :)
GX the gun in the render is totally fictional it dosen't even exist I've seached wikipedia and google and found nothing.So don't call the mod realistic at all.

GX appearently called it "real" when the render said it was fictional and I was proving my point to him thats its not real.

And BTW, REAL SWAT Team members don't use lasers sights.I can assure this mod will NOT be "realistic" because the creators seem to have very little knowlege of real SWAT teams.I can't stand when people call hollywood "realistic"
some do, my cousin is on the columbus swat team in Ohio, they use them. and you posting that isnt going to change anything
You do know anything virtual, any mod, any game, any kind of simulator will never be realistic. There will always be flaws and imperfections which will keep it from being realistic. Also people who bicker about everything. We are tring to aim towards realism, and if we want to put in something that may not be in existance, we might just go ahead and do that. We are also tring to add some decent eye candy, and not have the same boring thing be seen over and over again. You want to something realistic, go join a swat team or the army. Stop wasting peoples time on something that needs not to be an issue.
I disagree,Games can be very close to realistic like Rouge Spear.But However I know this mod will not be remotly realistic and puting fictional weapons in is not "aiming towards realism" as you say.
and GX,I don't believe you I've never seen or heard of a Real SWAT Member that uses a laser sight.Laser sights can raise detection of a SWAT Team,a SWAT Team's key factors are susprise,quickness, and numbers.

Yes. They do use laser sights. I saw it on the History Channel. Unless you were really on a SWAT team, I have no other choice but to contradict your claim.
Erm...GAME ...for ppl to PLAY online... Jeez- if you told me they had plasma rifles I'd be happy...just for a little variety and a little more streetfighting in BF2
Why the hell would you use laser sights anyway, talk about giving away your position
so you can aim without having to zoom it, and with running into a building and everything you can really give your position away.
