Originally this concept is part of the Crossfire 1.8 mod.
We decided to take this concept and release a standalone mod for the Freelancer game.
The first version of this mod will be vanilla compatible only which means it can be used on every computer which has no other mods running. In cooperation with other Freelancer modding teams we want to release several new versions of this mod which are compatible with already existing Freelancer mods.After the release of the new Crossfire mod the work on this project will start and we gladly would welcome other modding teams to be part of this and maybe also other future projects.

Due to the lack of support and interest from the Freelancer modding community this project is not going to be published as standalone mod anymore.
We might revoke our decision and release an automatic patcher for client and server version if the situation does change someday.

Eventhough this Mod concept was introduced with Crossfire 1.80 and ran on our server without the usual side effects that all other mods of this kind had to deal with, the lack of support from the remaining Freelancer modding community and the apparently low interest in such a working solution has brought us to the decision not to release a standalone version of this mod.
The Developers of the SWAT Portal will now focus more on projects and concepts that are benificial for the SWAT Scifi Community (www.swat-portal.com) instead of wasting our time with Freelancer community projects.

with this in CF 1.8, i dont believe that ANYONE will have a single place in the universe to dock on for the entire week . hahaha

noo... the CF dock 2 was destroyed.... where will BSes dock now ? --oh, to CF Dock 1 :P
Just make sure not all stations and planets are destructable... cus ther won't be any space or plce to dock if there's a war O-º
Will the destroyed bases respawn or something? And what happens if you're IN a base when it goes up (multiplayer)?
