I'll be editing it to make an integral-suppressed version of it too since that's how it's often used. Also a variant with an Eotech (for both suppressed and regular) sounds good :)

Sent the textures to Loner, he's going to work on them :)

He also revealed something I wasn't aware could be done: faking specular highlights with the alpha channel. I'll be trying that out on a number of things.

P.S. Everyone send Loner some money, he's a cool guy ;)
While you're at it send some to r_populik too (basically taught me everything about importing models and working with them).

Sorry I didn't see this comment, it got lost in the mix (I hate the layout for comments on ModDB, I miss comments all the time).

Basically for fake specular highlights you need an Alpha channel for your main weapon texture (so DXT5 it is), and in that Alpha channel make it white. Anything black will be a completely specular highlight, or various shades of gray if you don't want it as pronounced.

I'm not very good at it yet so hopefully someone else sheds some light on this (I'll study Loner's texture when he sends it back, but it's going to be a while as he's a very busy guy).

As far as weapon model importing, etc re: what r_populik taught me, I'll see if I can find the notes he's given me over time (send me a PM so I don't forget). You can also look up Millenia's Stalker tutorial on Youtube as he made a very good one (though its a little different with CoP and he makes a couple of assumptions about CoP that aren't correct).

What do you mean? I'm using King Friday LR300 anims for it at the moment but I'd rather use something that has a good sprint animation so I might change the anims to something else.

YES! That's one of the thing I've always wanted, a friggin ton of weapons to choose from. I just hope they're not all the same... the lower tier ones should be just the guns, then as they get better they will start receiving attachments with the very best guns being able to take all attachments to make it a 'one gun for any day' type of weapon. At least that's what I'd like to see. Normally I end up picking the guns that take attachments over those that don't every time. If I can have a gun with a nade launcher, scope and silencer then I'd def pick it over a gun that can only take a launcher, or only scope. It adds options for the player :) Can't wait to see the final product.

I'm doing my best so there is no overlap (I guess that's what you mean by "not all the same"), so yes, early weapons are alright but aren't great. The farther you get and more you do, the better weapons you'll come across, the more variants and attachments become available, etc.
An example of this is that yes some early weapons that accept an Acog will not have the dual-aim variant, as it's a more expensive attachment and won't be available until a little later.

I am sad to say that the Honeybadger will not accept a grenade launcher, nor scopes (except an Eotech, maybe an Aimpoint) but that's just because of the way the gun is designed. Plus the Honeybadger doesn't really serve that role...it's more of an SMG replacement for the MP5, but with a nice new caliber that hits hard.

There shall be both. And new maps (waiting on Bangalore's map pack, I don't care how long I have to wait).

I'm not trying to compete with Frozen Zone though, it does look quite cool. That said, we're not going in similar directions so it's not the best comparison. Hopefully both our mods will be good :)

I lied about no more new images...last one till the video, promise ;)

So here's the newest member of the family: the AAC Honeybadger. I've decided to go for a "gun porn"/Jagged Alliance 2 approach to the mod (the more the merrier, don't worry it will be less cluttered than Swartz 1.3 even due to how I'm doing it).

I'm giving this to high-level/late-game Mercs as an MP5 replacement. I should probably stop spoiling this stuff...

Oh, and again ignore the UI icons. Obviously it fires a special caliber.
