Sven Co-op for Half-Life 2, sequel to the popular Sven Co-op mod for Half-Life, will add co-operative multiplayer (players vs. computer-controlled enemies) to Valve's "Half-Life 2" (Among other things).
Sven Co-op, the original Half-Life co-operative mod, is currently the most popular co-operative modification in the world, with over 500,000 recorded downloads of Sven Co-op version 3.0.
Sven Co-op for Half-Life 2 will benefit not only from Half-Life 2’s highly advanced engine, greater volume of content and extensive feature set, but also from new and innovative gameplay resulting from four years of experience with the genre. Among the new features will be the ability for mapmakers to create their own game modes, and features to make gameplay more rewarding.
"Our current plan is to release a beta version of the mod as soon as we have the HL2 single-player storyline working well co-operatively... giving you all something to play (and the mapping community something to work with) while we work on more advanced features."

Hmm, i cant believe that Tor is being replaced by another species. Shouldnt Sven and his team make a Half-Life 2 version of the Alien Grunt/
3.5 Is still in production SvenViking can't lead 2 teams in an attempt to finish both. Stay calm and wait after 3.5 comes out. This mod will be activew within weeks of finishing 3.5.

Sven Coop Source is going to be amazing! To be honist i dont care how long this is gonna take. In my view! the longer it takes = the better the mods going to be!

Synergy is no where near being the same thing as sven coop 2 will be. The only thing that they will have in common will be the fact that they are both coop mods, thats it. Sven coop 2 will have its very own, unique feel and gameplay im sure. It will crush any other coop mod with no trouble at all.
