If they only lost an interdictor and a mc 30, you the entire executor and the space station then you need to buff the executor somewhat...

Also a level two starbase isn't going to help much against a fleet consisting of Six capital class starships, including six Dreadnaught heavy cruisers. The Bombers didn't do much, torpedoes used by bombers and fighters can no longer bypass shields. Only large ships like the MC30, have torpedoes that bypass shields. I should have lost more ships, but I had Mercy-class medical Frigates that can repair ships in battle. Then there's Home One with it's Ion Barrage ability, which can bring down shields faster and it's Concentrate fire ability. That's what helped bring down the Executor in the movie, Ackbar ordering nearly the entire Rebel fleet to attack the Executor.
if they used bombers to take out the ssd shields then it dies quite quickly.

No an SSD class ship doesn't die to bombers, ISDs die to bombers, it's a SUPER star destroyer, that's 19 km of pure death and laser fire. Bombers *Shouldn't* work, only a massive tactical assault of mixed forces. Try Ultimate Enhancement Mod for the original eaw, that is one mod that did it right.
