Some plan to destroy the Eclipse went horribly wrong.
And what was the plan,initially ?
I didn't really come up with anything, just they destroyed something else I haven't decided on and it turned into a Blackhole.
Stargate did it!
Got to close to the Maw maybe?
destory the eclipse with some help....... if you have eyes you see it: black hole

could this perhaps be a one time use superweapon? destroy's the planet and everything around it and turns the planet into a black whole much like the deathstar turns planets into asteroid fields?
Since blackwholes are so destructive and just plain ***, end-of-days scary its probably a unwritten rule NEVER to employ them in conflict
