Nice, looks like a really cool feature and would fit the environment very well.
IMO slot machine is quite... inadequate. First, having all the bastards in the zone, is very likely, that thing like this would be raped empty. Second... just look at how high-tech it is in post-apocalyptic environment. Fancy images and style doesnt really fit in The Zone.
I have to agree, I'm not saying I'd be a bandit in the Zone, but I would be watching my back for a bullet I didn't see coming quite often. Gotta survive, any means necessary.

Might wanna make it a bit more like a standard Slot machine, if we're talking STALKER here... we're not playing Mass Effect.
The machine is the Bar's back room. By the same logic the whole Bar would be raped empty.
Second it's not high tech. It's a modified radar control CRT screen. With that low resolution ( those are scan lines) i wouldn't call it high tech. Compared to the vanilla's PDA with built in GPS/Глонасс receivers and SMS-like messaging system it's pretty much low fi. Stalker is not Fallout :)
When I said high tech, I meant 'fancy'. I mean, com on, just look how shiny it is. Just like something you get from a store... At least scratches, dirt spots, rust or some other **** like that would be partially reasonable... Not to mention the pictures.
One of the first things modders made were shiny new textures for the pale, rusty vanilla weapons. A slot machine kept in-room could look like this. But will that guard let you in the back room?
Ok I'll add some grunge - dirt on the screen. You could just say that it looks too clean. :)
The guard will let pass after the barkeep tells him so.
