In the 21st Century, Humanity was warned of the consequences of global warming and paid little attention to the warnings. As years passed, sea levels rose and coasts were sunken, towns became flooded and entire countries became submerged. To cope with this global disaster, the world's super-powers swiftly created M.E.V's (Multi Environment Vehicles) capable of traversing the remaining land and travelling through water. However, in the face of extinction, Humanity refuses to unite and warring factions sprang up, laying claim to the remaining land and resources. Submergence is a multiplayer modification of Unreal Tournament 2004, focusing on Vehicle combat, on-land and underwater, with destructible environments. Submergence is produced by Aftermath Studios, a joint project between 11 Computer and Video Games Design students at Salford University.

Hello and welcome to the Submergence Mod for Unreal Tournament 2004.
At the moment, it's somwhat sparse, but that's because of the time it's taking to organise and upload content.
We'll make a weekly update with progress and aims for the next week.
Bear with us however, as we're University students and have other assignments to complete, along with this one. (Yes... this as a University assignment)
The mod won't be released until it's finalised, tested and refined, which will be our hand-in date for University - around the end of April. We'll give you plenty of eye candy in the mean time though!
Any questions, comments or feedback, feel free to let us know!

Sorry i know its getting on a bit and the mod says released :D
Our programmers just compiling the final build and then getting it up here very very soon.
so id say any time with in the next 2-4 hours.
Plus if its only just comes avalible to download dont just jump in expecting a game with people, fistly asses how many have downloaded already and secondly give it time for people to download the mod as its a mutiplayer game that needs 2-6 players :).
'firstly assess'
dam typos :P
Cheers muchos for the cred Badger ;)
Anyway heres whats going on :D
Monday 21st we did a testing session where lots of bugs were given to us regards to the game 0.o so We are now working on ironing them all out for a very possible tuesday 29th release. It will be avalible at ether 12am GMT +0 ((london time)(29th)) or very later on in the day as we are going to be pritty darn busy that day :).
P.S Thanks to all the testers we are very happy you helped us find the bugs and enjoyed playing Submergence :D.
Tuesday 22nd we had our final presentation regarding the game and everything went sweetingly except for no colour of red in our rooms projecter *curses*. So thats another step towards the release of Submergence :D
Just a one last things to add from me :P.
If you play this game remember it was made by a team of 11 people and it had a overall development span of only 3 months (only 6-7 weeks actuall development time). At the start some of us learned all this from scratch with hardley any prevoius experience and we all had many sleepless nights :). Are looking for sympathy? that answer is no. All of us from Salford Uni Dev Team Aftermath Studios hope all the people who play this have as much fun playing this as we did making it.
Its been a ball ;)
Thanks for reading

As of next week we should be able to show all levels :D
There being worked on very fast at the moment by myself and the team to get everything ready for release.
some maps are nearly 100% complete and ready for testing and hopefully on tuesday all six will be ready for testing, which will be tested by CVG 1 (the first year of the course we are on).
Our Presentation has been moved forward to the 22nd April which means the game will have to be done by then insted of the 29th April which means thos of you who wish to download it may well get it a few days earley :D
There is a salvage game type being added to the game, im not going to go in to detail just yet but this game type should prove awsome and populour among players of submergence.
Stay tuned ^_^

Hello again :D
My profile has been updated with pictures of 2 my in game levels out of 3 in there current state and what i want you guys to do is go look at them and give me some comments on how ether you like it, dont like it or what would you change. Any feedback would be great thanks :D
Hang Tight Guys :)
Theres probably only going to be a small update soon due to uni being out for three weeks and theres still two weeks left of vacation, but we are still working on it regardless of the other uni stuff we have do.
Altho in a few weeks probably just after these two are over, there should be a pritty big update coming to the page as then it will only be a few weeks till release and it will the polish, refine and test stages.
Rest assured we aim to deliver top quality pick up and play multiplayer experience with Submergence given its three months dev span.
Thanks For Reading
