AT 30,000 FEET... you are almost 6 miles (9.7 km's) above sea level. The human body is not made for these conditions. Temperatures can plummet to -60F (-51C), the brain is starved for oxygen and each step is a new experience in pure agony. It's difficult to breathe. It's difficult to think. It's difficult to move. And you still have to endure another 444 feet (0.14 km's) to get to the peak. So much for the good news. STORYLINE: SURVIVE the SUMMIT ...The rebels are losing the battle against the strider onslaught that keeps growing. To help turn the tide of war you need to destroy the source of the Striders. That source is at the summit of what the rebels call, StriderMountain. There is only one way to get into the mountain geography and it's extremely dangerous terrain. The danger proves to be too much and you are forced way off target. Now, you must fight your way through the Combine Mountain Base Camp because it's the only entry to the mountain...

a PODCAST...
Our friend Phillip Marlowe over at PlanetPhillip.com has co-developed PODCAST17 a weekly podcast that covers the latest news, reviews, interviews, gossip, rumours, websites, maps, mods, media releases and anything else related to the Half-Life universe. We were invited for a live interview and reveal some insights into StriderMountain. The SM interview begins at the 45:00 timeframe of the podcast. You can hear the INTERVIEW HERE.
and a POLL. As we prepare for release, it's time to develop the walkthrough for StriderMountain. So, we got to thinking about what format is most preferred: written or video. We need you to cast your vote, so we have set up a one (1) question poll. Please take about 10 seconds to answer. Many thanks. POLL HERE
UPDATE: DECEMBER 20, 2008 The poll has closed. The SM team would like to THANK everyone who took the time to help us out with the walkthrough.

Nice Work When can we get a Beta or a Release?Next Year 2009?
We hope to make an announcement very soon. Stay tuned and thanks.
"Stay tuned" For Sure what the status in % ??(general not beta)
~97%
~2 years of development,
Do the math :)
97% of 2years(730 days)=(708 days)
730-708 = ~22 days
Don't hold me on it though, just a guess, and I like math.
