Based on the games of the same name by Capcom, featuring 1-on-1 fighting and including the following features;
-New plot/story based around Ryu from the StreetFighter universe
-16 new player models and enemies from the StreetFighter series of games

-New Maps - 16 fully destructable fighting maps with multiple fighting area's
-Brand new hand to hand combat system that allows blocking and counter attacks

I'm aware of the need for a manual and working on it right now, there is a lot of stuff to take in and i'm writing it as simply as I can. I'm also looking into some of the problems that some people have been getting and i'll more than likely be able to solve that with a small patch. Thanks for your feedback guys, greatly appriciated ;)

Thanks for your feedback, I agree many things could have been better buts adly a lot of things you simply can not change. To get the fighting system just right would invlove remapping keys and ideally disabling the mouse in favour of joypad support. Sadly this sort of stuff isn't possible with either of the maxpayne's as there is no SDK for them so everything in this mod had to be made with the limitations of the engine. You'll absolutely right, its an engine not designed for really anything else other than shooting but I wanted to do something different and boy it was a challenge. I totally agree with many of your idea's but not really possible. During development I tried many things to work around the problems some things you can do (Side camera etc etc) but you still had the problem with not being able to disable the mouse so it was too awkward to play.

yeah, this mod nees a manual, stat. I know crouch or change weapon changes the moveset but there doesn't seem to be any consistency. and I don't know how to perform sonic booms or ryu's hurricane kick.
I suppose you havnt seen the StreetFighter 2 movie and the streetfighter 2 animated movie have you? also there was an old cartoon of streetfighter. but yea i agree with you a dbz mod would rock.
Oh and Aztec, the mod rocks... but story mode doesnt work for me and some of the versus fights dont work either :( other than that its great... <3 Rage Mode
why don't u people make a dragon ball z mod for max payne is similar to street fighter power characters dbz has a quality that street fighter doesn;t have....DBZ existed as anime series street fighter never existed is just a game an old one just like dbz it will be cool if someone would do a dbz mod for max payne
First off, great mod man. It shows that you put a whole lot of work into it. While playing though, I've come across a number of bugs that im hoping you'll fix in the future. First off, whenever any of the characters switch to the second move set via crouch, they almost always end up in this weird gun position. Also, I noticed that in the versus mode, Ken cannot fight against normal Ryu.

Despite a few minor crashes, and a somewhat difficult to master control scheme, it seems like a pretty solid mod at first impression. I'll give a full review later.
So, okay, first, respect for Aztec, it was a hard job to do. I've downloaded it for a day, and spent few hours with the mod. My first impression is, but please, be patient: It is booring after 10 minutes. First, i started with the tutorial level, so i got the basic about the fight system. Just an opinion about that: The mouse buttons are soo pointless, because you cannot hit properly into the enemies body, you just hit the air always. (The animation is looks like when you throw a grenade. But its ok.) You can also use the scroll button to hit, and do special tricks - those tricks are awesome, no question about that, the visual effects are correct, but after a few try, its not a big deal. My idea is, the mouse1 and mouse2 button should be the low and high punch moves, and the bullet time needs a key in the keyboard. So if you want to use yours hands, mouse buttons would be more better than Aztec done. (example: mouse1=left punch, mouse2=right punch. If you do that fast, it will looks like a real boxing match.) About the kicks: Hit the shift and one arrow key. Thats great, but you only have 3-4 moves, and maybe a combo with the space (sorry if i mistaken) key. So, first time i said, the punch is very complicated, you hit the air, so i didnt used that, mostly i used my leg. And that was booring after 3 enemies... yes, about the A.I: They just do some round-house kick, but they often hit themselves, and its a littlebit annoying because if you kill someone, the game became slow for a moment, and if an enemy kills his own partner by chance the game becames slow also. So they just run, and try to kick a few. Finaly: The Max Payne 2 engine is not made for fighting games! It is a 3 person shooter, and the camera view is not the best, and you have just some moves, and sometimes you feel, you and your enemy is not in the same space, and if you hit him and he resoponds to it, its just luck. Ok, i dont want to say, i expected a tekken style fight saga, or a real streetfighter feeling, but i was sad when i pressed the esc key. Maybe some development in the fight system can help, but it will remain the same. A fight game needs a lot of combos, minimum 2 modfiy keys to do different kicks and punches combine with arrow keys to do a hundreds of hits. But its worth a try, maybe you will like it!

Lets hope it was worht the wait,Congrats on your kids and finishing your supposable final mod,which is basically like a new game.Now it's jsut to donwload it and save it somewhere safe.
