Innocent enough custom story, fairly generic, short and unfinished, has a neat little event involving the grunt, so there's a bit of creativity, but could use a story and needs to be finished for a higher rating, not bad though.

There is no real story, the map design is simple and empty-looking. The puzzles are only basic. Monsters and a falling naked guy. Absolutely no originality. This custom story is not good.

I could do without the jumpscares but I really enjoyed this one. Looking forward to chapter 2.

i could give you a 8 but it was a bug with the 2 big boxes infront of the key and i couldnt take it...,and i go again,i tryed to move them and later for 2 hours i move them ,so for that im givving you a 7 :)

I'd have to say a 5 1/2 to 6 for a rating.
I wouldn't consider this a jumpscare story, however, there is that one little part where the grunt spawn right behind you and you'll get hit if you don't go into an immediate sprint which I failed to do.

Your lighting wasn't the best, but it also wasn't the worst. You hardly put any candles or torches down. So most of my tinderboxes were useless and you also didn't add a single oil potion. So I had to use my lantern for most of the story.

I didn't really notice any story, except for being locked in your house--which has already been done before. I do like the little note though where you said you cut off the grunt's legs with a buzz saw. And then actually seeing the cut in half grunt with a buzz saw. There were some grammatical errors within' that note, but that won't affect the rating.

No puzzles. All there were, were either finding keys or getting crowbars. In which you end up doing this multiple times. And every time you pick up an important item, a monster will always spawn.

I'd recommend in chapter two that you add some particles. Even some small fog particles can help with the environment and atmosphere.

There were a few glitches such as entities colliding with other entities which caused some parts of the story to bug out and be weird (i.e: when you have to move two huge crates to get the key in wall, the top crate bugged out and glitched into the wall making it impossible to continue. I had to reset my game).
However, I managed to find a way around some glitches so I can actually finish the story. I really do like crushing that grunt though near the end with that big crate.

Please work on fixing these errors to help improve chapter two, which I might as well play since I played chapter one.

Also, you should add some more monsters besides grunts. I'm not afraid of them and they can easily be avoided by doing a simple sprint and jump tactic.

All in all, 5 1/2 - 6/10.

Great custom story looking forward for the second chapter

realy good!
i like it! :)

PROS
Has a little effort put in to it.
CONS
lame jump scares.
monsters appearing for no reason.
one of the keys was hidden behind a huge box and another on on top and a shelf so it was impossible to finish the story.
full of glitches I mean holy crap.
items randomly placed everywhere.

Let's see...

The lighting wasn't the best. I couldn't see anything and there was little oil.

Too many "key quests", plus the fact that there would always happen something bad when you pick them up.

The last door which had the note saying that the CS was over glitched and didn't open >.<

Now, the good things...

I don't know if you did on purpose but one of those grunts gave me one of the hardest trials ever.

Basically, the grunt is supposed to walk according to the paths that you put on the map.

However, one of the grunts in the 3rd map (the one where you have to use the hammer on the boards) decided to smash a closet infinitely and that grunt, that MOTHER****ING GRUNT COULD SEE ME MILES AWAY IT WAS INFURIATING!!

Seriously, it probably happened on accident but I wasn't safe anywhere. Specially considering that I needed to pass through that corridor multiple times and when I found out that I needed the sledgehammer, I wasn't happy one bit...

And since I always try not to get killed, it was very challenging.

Plus, the grunt would always come back to the closet. I think it bugged because the corridor was very small and the opened closet would prevent the grunt from reaching the last path. And he just stood there indefinitely. And I don't know why but he really could see me from very far, like I could be in that room at the very end of the corridor and he could see me... with my lantern off... and CROUCHED!!

But yeah you should probably fix that... (or just leave it like that *evil laugh*)

And finally, really liked the grunt kill with the huge box. Really well done and creative. keep trying more ideas rather than "pick up key to proceed" on your future works because you do have some creativity.

Expecting to see more from you
