Stellaris Zero is a mechanics overhaul mod focused around overhauling the internal management aspect of the game. With everything from political parties to pirate empires to redesigned rebellions, the goal is to improve upon the under-utilized systems in the game. Mainly, factions and governments.

The mod probably won't be updated anytime soon :(

So, I've been putting this off for a while thinking that perhaps I would change my mind, but I don't think that's happening, and I don't want to leave everyone in the dark, so here goes.

I won't be updating SZ any time in the near future, and here's why:

  1. 1.5/1.6 made the original mod mostly obsolete, so I'd have to start from scratch.
  2. It took almost all of my free time for about 2 months straight to put together the original
  3. I'd probably need to go through the same process with every major update.

So yeah, call it developer lazyness if you like, but I just don't feel that the commitment would be worth it. Once Stellaris development settles down then it might make more sense to come back to this project. For now, so long and thanks for all the fish!

P.S. Yard1 was working on a spinoff mod a while ago. I don't know if anything came of it, but it might be worth following: Stellaris Zero Parliamentary Bonaza

Understandable, I was in a similar situation with a mod for steel division, your mod was great and i enjoyed playing the original, thank you for your hard work.
