As some of you may have guessed already, this mod is and has been on hold for 3-4 months now. It will remain on hold til we get a better team, or I will eventually announce that its dead. We cannot continue work with inactive modelers, and several other inactive positions, therefore we need them filled with new in order to make progress. That is about all for now so good day.

Go back to an era where America was split into two—North and South. In the North, the United States is gathering to fight to preserve the Union that they hold so dear. On the other hand, in the South the Confederates are fighting for secession from the Union in the North, so that they can have the country be run as they would like.

In this mod you will have the choice to fight for the Confederacy or the Union, and in this fight you will be able to select from a wide variety of weapons. You will be able to use many of the rifles, muskets, pistols, artillery, and other weapons of the era. The map selection of the mod will consist of many different maps—based on real battles and fictional scenarios that have been thought up by the developers. The playermodels in the game will either consist of standard uniforms that would be used, or be created to fit specific units that fought in the war.

WE NEED SUPPORT

C++ Programmer(s) - Experience in coding with sourcemods.
Level Designer(s) - Experience with using Source SDK.
Modeller(s) - Experience in using modeling programs such as Blender, Maya, etc.
Artist(s) - Experience in creating detailed concept art, and/or skilled in making in-game textures.
Sound Engineer(s) - Experience with being able to create/edit in-game sounds, etc.
Animation Specialist(s) - Experience with being able to make working 3D animations, etc. for in-game use/other.


Mod Information: We plan to create maps based on actual battles, and some random maps here and there. The teams will consist of "Union Army" & "Confederate Army". The classes, will either consist of basic Union and Confederate player models, or we will switch to making seperate classes, like an Irish Brigade Regiment, 20th Maine, 15h Alabama, etc.

Community Notice: If you are a tracker of this mod, fan, or just a public player, and would like to contribute to the mod but not join the Dev. Team please feel free to make game models, maps, donate, etc.

Officially Dead

Myself and the team would like to thank those who tracked and gave their support. As right now we are in no state to work/continue work on the mod. I put the mod on hold for 3-4 months to see if we could get anymore team members, but as you may have guessed it was a no-go. Therefore I have no other choice but to officially announce that the States War HL2 Mod is officially dead do to lack of activity, and lack of receiving help from developers. I gave it as many chances as I could with News updates saying we need help, nobody responded, always kept getting 0 comments, which also shows that no one really cares what goes on with the mod so why should I or the current team need to care? I mean lets be honest. So, anyways myself, and the States War Team bid you all fair-well.

Now i am in no way shape or form to start a mod team because i have no skills whatsoever in modding at all period if anyone here wants to help me with that grate, i have made couple of html webpages and modeled a couple cs1.6 maps with hammer editer, and made 1 ****** model in blender so yea

so that way i can grab the attention off of people that could give a rats *** about this mod and then get there attention and want to play it. and people wouldnt who wanted to play the mods before wouldnt have to suffer because it would be easy to find. and the lucky few that found thes mods are all dispointed your problem was the lack of community support you guys had. now if any of you guys want to contact me on steam hers my steam name KhanTheBarder

Well great it was brothers war, and now states war, i know your guyses problems you had to name the mods some ******** names that would take people that wanted to play this forever you werent attracting attention. When i get the necassary skills to model and code im going to make a source mod based off of the american civil war, and call it the american civil war

So basically, you were totally unprepared to make a mod.

Can you not even map or create textures? Anything to move it along and at least look appealing to potential modellers and developers?
