Would you like to know more?

This is a Total Conversion mod for the upcoming game Star Wars: Empire at War from Petroglyph Studios. It is a Starship Troopers mod, but it is much differnt then your usual brand of SST. For the first time ever fight on the ground, in the air, or in the silence of space.

Choose your side: The Mobile Infantry, or the Arachnid Army. Each side has the old favorites, and of brand new units out there. This mod will take all you know about Starship Troopers and blow it out your nose.

Hey this is Panzer here reporting in on one hell of an update.
I have heard wining, complaining, and moaning over a long time about a lot of of our stuff, then silence. Our last news post seemed to end in misery, and the other before that almost completely unnoticed.
The mod then went into a state of a coma. In the end resulted in many changes for the better, though I really don’t agree completely. Vengence and iOSYS have gone above and beyond to help make this new post possible along with HeavyMetal1980 with all his concept art.

Now for the next order of business, The Website, if you notice, it is “different”. This came from a long overdo overhaul of the website I had made, essentially it is Version 3.0
If you want to know about the others, ask me. The site is completely new and is filled with stuff now. The Factions are not completed yet, as we will have it out around the time EaW is released, but if luck is with us, and if a lot of people want it, you may find it updated earlier, but no promises.

I am a huge fan of the genre (own the original book, both movies, Roughnecks: Starship troopers Chronicles OTS, Starship troopers: Terran Ascendancy, The Starship Troopers FPS, and even the Role-playing/Miniatures supplements put out by mongoose publishing) and I think that it's great what Panzer has tried to do here.
No I don't think it's dead for all of you laymen out there who have never worked on/with a mod before. A good example was the 2 years it took for a mod for the original Homeworld game from Sierra studios to come out, and that was much more simple than compared to something of this magnatude.
As for the game concept..... let me tell you I love the idea's and all the models for the ships look great, no matter what the comments are from everyone else, but I was wondering if you have ever tried to use some of the concepts from the games that have been put out by Mongoose Publishing?
They have lots of concepts for potential Araknids, and even more for Sicon forces, as well as a pretty stable plot for the timeline references. They also have a third army option (The Skinny Hegemony) that can address the new faction in the FOC expansion for the original game.
Just food for thought, thats all.

It has been over a year since you guys showed anything new, I consider this mod dead. Even though I welcomed a Starship Troopers mod :(

Hardly. Most people that go out to make a mod have an idea on their mind already, or else they wouldn't take the time and effort to go out and start a mod. Now maybe they'd use the models and such, but they'd have to credit the makers of them or else they'd be violating their IP... although the people that made SST would be the true holders of the IP... Is this mod legal, technically?

that might be a bad idea because some people would probably claim them as their own

Well, I would help ya if I knew jack shit about thye EaW Engine >.<
But this seems like a fairly serious mod (As in its not a mod, that usually dies after a month because the modders cant take the heat and they've never actually made a mod before x\ ) Have you posted a Help Wanted request?

YOU HEARD ME!!

I just lost the website AGAIN!!!. sorry about that, and I was away for the whole summer.
But I am not going out. The reason why I can't show you any ingame screenshots is simple: I can't figure out how to get my models coded ingame. Sad as it may seem, I am not good at coding. I need help badly, to get any real progress, but I will not go down.
