Stargate: The Last Stand is a Modification for Half-Life 2 promising to bring all the best from the Stargate Movie and TV-Shows into the gaming world. The mod will have both Singleplayer & Multiplayer gameplay focusing on both ground and space combat. Utilising a unique gameplay style players will literally have to make their Last Stand.

Firstly let me just apologise for the small delay on the news this week. We have been working our butts off trying to finish the preparation of something big for you all to gorge on but unfortunately its not quite ready so we will get it out to you sometime in the coming week.
However! Do not fear we have something for you to see today! The first screenshots ever released of Tollana:

"Reverse-engineered Stargate
With the destruction of the original Tollan homeworld, the Tollans' Stargate was lost. Their new homeworld, Tollana, had no original Stargate, and with the assistance of the Nox, a new gate was built. Although the involvement of the Nox was only briefly mentioned, it is probable that, as a former member of the Four Great Races, the Nox played a greater role than the Tollans in constructing this gate.
The Tollan gate was smaller and slimmer than the Ancient's Stargates, and has a pale white color. However, it seems to lack a DHD, or even an inner track for manual dialing, suggesting more advanced remote dialing. Jack O'Neill sarcastically criticized the Tollan Stargate, saying "Ours is bigger".
Eventually the Tollan Stargate was destroyed by the Goa'uld, as reported by Narim to the SGC."

I noticed the mod was archived yesterday and its now un-archived. The moddb rep didn't know why i was archived :S

Great stuff, the comment about the Tollan special gate still stands though. I think for this to advance, somebody needs to re-watch all the Tollan-related episodes from DVD, take loads of screencaps and share them with the rest of the dev team. Some of the colours and the paving are a bit off, as are a few of the trees. Also, someone needs to visit Simon Fraser Uni (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simon_Fraser_University) and the Academic Quadrangle (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Sfu-academic-quadrangle-pond.jpg).
