Before I let you see those new weapon screens, I have another one of those urgent announcements to make. I would like each and every single person reading this news broadcast to once again vote for Stargate: The Last Stand in the Mod Database top100 by clicking below;

Hello Community.

It has come to our attention that an ignorant member of the community has hacked their way around an unstable and beta stage facility that we had been testing for use with the development of the mod.

The program, PHP Overlord, was being tested for use as a managment suite to keep ontop of all of our tasks. As is stands we have not been using the program, as it was never integrated fully into the site design for the development team, and so became a pain to get to.

The person in question, whom I will not name (you know who you are), hacked around the login page for this program, and changed several parts of the suite to display rude, ignorant and childish messages to the administrators.

"SO THE MOD IS REALLY AT 5% BY THE LOOK OF THIS YOU LIE TO THE COMMUNITY SAYING ITS 75%. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED"

All of the accounts have been deleted, and the pages all mixed up and frankly damaged, with data deleted and projects all reset. If we were using this script for organising our development, we would have been set back by months.

The development team has been communicating by a system of E-Mails to get the work done. You want to know what we have done? This is what we have done;

A forest based map. The Tau’ri spawn at the foot of an ancient Mayan temple on a planet designated P4Z-939. The squad at the gate sent word back to the rest of the team at the temple that the M.A.L.P had picked up enemy Death Gliders incoming from a Goa’uld Hat’ak vessel now in orbit. Col O’Neill ordered the squad back through the gate, and now the rest of the team must make it to the Stargate before it shuts down. They have 20 minutes to fight their way through the Goa’uld ground forces and make their way back to the gate and home to Stargate Command.
Tau’ri:
Work together as a team under command of the elite squad SG-1, and fight your way through the alien wilderness back to the Stargate. No one gets left behind.
Goa’uld:
Serve your lord Apophis and annihilate the enemy Tau’ri before they flee like cowards through the Chappa’ai. They must not get any information back to their home world!

With each game, the person who has the best score is the #1 class (see classes above), the person who has the second best score is the #2 class, the person who has the third best score is the #3 class, the person who has the fourth best score is the #4 class, and the people who have the fifth best score or under are the #5 class.

When you join the server, you pick your team (Tau’ri or Goa’uld). You then pick your weapons. Now, for now (due to time constraints) you will pick a maximum of one weapon in each category, but eventually we will incorporate a weight system, whereby you can carry ‘X’ amount in weight, and each weapon has a weight ‘cost’. This will allow players to carry a range of ordinates from loads of grenades, to simply general explosives, a P-90 with a stupid amount of spare ammo or one of everything (you get the picture).

We are working on it as fast as we can. One of my 300GB SATA hard disks crashed recently, the controller chip was fried and it damaged the readers. Not only that, the spike that damaged the drive also the SATA controller chip on my motherboard. Why am I telling you this? Because I've just spent well over £600 replacing components and getting data recovery on the drive to get back all of the SGTLS data.
Dedication. We are all working our asses off. There is alot of stuff to be done and its not something that will happen overnight. Stargate: The Last Stand pushes the boundries of the Source² technology, with implemented ideas that were not even concepts in the minds of Valve's best during the creation of the original Half-Life² platform.

We decided to give you this information for two reasons. One so that you can all encourage the perpetrator to come forward infront of the whole community and apologise for the fruitless distruction of our testing area, and Two so that you would further understand how much work we are putting into this game, regardless of time in education, work, with our family, friends, in our relationships and so on and so forth.
