Stargate The Enemy Within is a Stargate based gaming experience / modification being developed on the Powerful Unreal Tournament 3 Engine. This Stargate Mod when released will pull you and / or your Clan right into the Stargate Universe whilest at the same time taking your Stargate experience to a whole new level in PC Gaming!!
Gameplay
Our first public release of this Stargate based Game Modification will of course be the Online Multiplayer Mode (More than likely a 3 or 4 map public beta to begin with, sometime this year 2009). Play alone or play as a team or clan. Play using unique abilities and weaponry of races such as The Tau'ri, Wraith, Ori Warriors and Priors, Goa'uld, Free Jaffa and many more From the Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis Universe.
The Singleplayer version of the Mod will then come along at a shortly later date and will actually follow a completely different angle of the storyline than the Multiplayer version! This will give a very interesting incentive to the player to take part in both Modes of the Game! You see... If you want to get the whole storyline, you will have to play through all Singleplayer and Multiplayer Missions!
Missions / Maps
Step through the Gate from either Stargate Command here in the Milkyway or from Ancient Atlantis far off in the Pegasus Galaxy. Arrive on the other end on worlds such as Dakara, Avalon, Genii Homeworld etc. and fight your way through many objectives. Or play as the enemy and covertly infiltrate the SGC and Atlantis and lunch attacks from within. Fly off in a Puddle Jumper, Deathglider, Wraith Dart or F-302 and Dogfight your way onto a Hat'ak, A Wraith Hive Ship, The Deadlaus, Orion or Aurora and then set out within the interiors to either sabotage or defend these enemy or allied crafts. More information will be added regularly on our Forums where we will also welcome your suggestions.
And Finally...
Everything said above is merely the tip of the iceberg of what you can expect to see in Stargate The Enemy Within. Keep up to date with the development of this Stargate based Mod for Unreal 3 by registering for an account on our Forums and take part in whatever way you can or would like to. We are also always looking out for Recruits for our Development Team, so if you think you have some skills that may be of value to us, check out the Recruitment section of our Site and make an application.

Hi Everyone!
It's been quite a long time since we gave you guys any kind of an update and I'd say it's a safe bet to say that many of you have been thinking that we are sorta dead..? Right..? Well... For those among you that thought as much, I'd like to just say this... that we are still very much live and are still working hard at bringing you this Stargate Themed Unreal Tournament 3 Total Conversion!
On a side note tho'... It's sad to say... but It's true... that there has been a development team split recently (Incase you've already heard the rumors) and that some respective team members have broken away from our main team to work on another project... But even with the recent loss we are still extremely strong and still in development! So... The show goes on!
Anyhoo... While we wait on some more of our long awaited Maps to reach a high enough level and news worthy quality... We've decided to give you a little "Dakara" teaser featuring some of the modeling work that will be included within the map. This is thanks to one of our main modelers "Timunky"! He has worked very closely with the level designer responsible for the Dakara map (Ascended) and is willing to show you the proofs of his labours prior to the "Main" Dakara map update!
He's also agreed to allowing us to show you his amazing Goa'uld "Hat'ak" that will not only be used as Background scenery for Dakara, but will also be a boardable craft in one of our first Space Battle Missions where you will have the opportunity to fly to / board the craft and go FPS within it's interiors! Basically speaking... the scale of the model is monsterous, making the internal level design and game mode possible! But more about that later! For now... On with the images!

Of course, some of the above is WIP (Work In Progress) and untextured to a final degree... But it gives you an idea of the level of detail and attention that is being given to the content of each and every map we plan to produce!
Finally... We give you a shot of the Goa'uld "Hat'ak"

If all goes well and according to plan, our next news update will feature some of our first release maps that will include Dakara, Asgard Ship Interiors, Hat'ak Ship Interiors and more of the SGC.
So that is the news for now... In the meantime, I'd like to mention that we still require experienced Unreal Level Designers who are interested in the Stargate franchise and would like to contribute to our project. If you're interested in joining our team then please apply by sending me (Orion) a PM, and we'll take it from there!
Until Next Time... On Behalf of the SG:TEW Development Team... Thanks for your attention and your support!

Hey, this mod looks sweet, and I didn't really care for getting it for my computer, but now I got a new motherboard, graphics card, etc. and I have better graphics so im really looking forward to this mod because it looks sweet!!, only 1 thing, every stargate mod i check always says coming soon, or will be released on:(date) then on that date it doesn't and then says it will be released at a later date, and I was wondering if u could give me a close estimate to when it will be release or even send me a beta test invitatin or a alpha of 1 map or sumtin'?
you already got the ps3!!!! wow
just wonderin how do u get mods from your pc to your ps3 ???
Hi Asho.
For the moment, you can only export individual maps to PS3 via the Unreal Editor (There is an option to export to PS3). Full Mod support will apparently be coming with Patch 1.3 for Unreal Tournament 3, but this is still to be confirmed officially! ;)
this looks amazing. but I've been wondering if this is a pc only mod or what? I really love the show and if its also going to be for the 360 then I think I can get unreal tourny 3 just for this mod.
Hi Lilman!
All I can say for now is that we are pushing for both PC and PS3 versions!
Mod support for the Xbox360 version of UT3 has not yet been introduced so it may be quite some time until we can make any kind of statement on that front! However, as soon as the Mod support for UT3 on the 360 platform becomes available, we will certainly look into the requirements for exporting to the relevant console format and take it from there! ;)
Simply put... If it can be done... we will do it! ;)
From what I see can be archived by using UEngine 1 too, I mean it looks good for shure, but please make a really good use of the UEngine 3 also the maps seem to be very empty.. you have just so much more possibilities then ever before but as said before that mapping quality can be done by the UE 1 too.. but yes indeed .. I'm looking forward to improvements which will be done during overall developing, looking at the current main state these criticisms shouldn't be too overrated
I've said once, I've said it twice and thrice... but I'll say it again... That the screens simply do not do these maps justice! Like, you cannot appreciate the scale, lighting, texturing etc etc. by the screenshots! All I can say is, wait for our 1st beta demo release to experience the quality and detail in these maps! They go far beyond anything seen in previous UT engines!
And how do you mean they look empty? Granted yes that Abydos is still a WIP and is waiting on the DHD and a few other props and details etc... But the SGC gateroom & control room is mapped and propped out in alignment with what is contained in the tv series! If it appears empty then blame the producers of the series!! lol.
Anyway... thanks for your comments and crits mate! We always welcome them! And finally I'll just say... wait for our release... You won't be disappointed! ;)
PS: Do you map, code or animate?? Cos we're still recruiting! lol :)
No worries mate! I'm always happy to answer questions where and when I can, so ya aint a pain in the a$$..! lol. ;)
Anyhoo.. Our "Aim" is to have a small Beta / Demo out to you all by the middle of this year. This will probably consist of only 4 or 5 Multiplayer Maps, A Simple Gate Dialing System and 2 Playable Classes (Tau'ri v Jaffa) each with 3 out of the many weapons to come! As for the full version, well, I aint gonna comment on that at the moment but expect an estimate nearer the time of the above mentioned demo release.
On a final note though, We all know only too well of how things go within the modding community and nothing is ever certain, what with us having real life stuff like jobs, education etc. So take these comments and estimates lightly! For now anyway, cos it's still fairly early days! ;)
Hope that's helpful to ya! More accurate info will of course be made available as time goes on! :)
Yep,thanks again,m8,that answers all my questions, promise I won't bother you with anything else but suggestions if there is the case:).
