Post tutorial Report RSS Adding the BC304 Minimod to Sins of a Solar Empire

Here is a quick tutorial on how to get the BC304 to work in both Sins and Entrenchment.

Posted by on - Basic Client Side Coding

Hello,

So you are having a problem with the BC304 mod are you? Have you got it installed correctly? are you wanting to change the weapons loadout of the ship? well, wait no more, Im here to step in and help you with installing and changing the ships weapons.

Ok first, Installing.

Now, for Windows XP the mod path is:
C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods-Entrenchment v1.03 or C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods-1.17,
and for Windows Vista it is: C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a
Solar Empire\Mod-1.17
or C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a
Solar Empire\Mods-Entrenchment v1.03

Now, once it is installed, if you have the Developer EXE file installed, run it, and once in a game, create a TEC Kodiak. if the ship is the 304, then we are one step down, if it is not, then you will need to show the mod path, and if it is different, write down the location, find it, and place the BC304 minimod there.

ok, so now that we have that done, lmy next tutorial will be on adding new weapons to the ship.

Enjoy

Hey,
got a quick question, my entrenchment follows a different path than that (C:\Program Files\Stardock Games\Entrenchment) and AppData is in a different file, so should i create the mod folder under Stardock, or in the Entrenchment folder?

thanks,
Strategist

Ok I'm sry. Can anyone plz tell someone who doesn't know anything about modding (me) can to do this.. Like first do you need to make the Mod-1.17 folder or is it supposed to be there already? If so what do you do then, just extract the file to that place? I did that and it still doesn't work (like the whole Kodiac thing)
Please help a noob!!

My BC304 comes as a capital ship instead of a Kodiak, it still works fine though, my entrenchment version is 1.051
