Here is the textured Space Gate and Attack Satellite. The meshes were made by R1ser, and the Textures by my good friend Chiletrek.

Why are there only 8 chevrons?
the Asuran Satellite weapon only had 8 chevrons. Ref pic: Images.wikia.com

sadly that is something that we cannot change, so no. You can have multiple of these, which is very sad.
Maybe it's weapons could be a small compliment of drones and save it's beam attack as an ability, that at the some time disables all other ships of the same class's beam ability? Most of the modding I've done has just been tweaking so I don't know if this would be entirely possible, but I'll leave that up to you.
