don't mean to pop your bubble of awesome but the O'Neill was the biggest ship the Asgard build before they were destroyed

maybe that's a smaller version... or you forgot to think about the unmistakenly large o'niell cruiser in this scene: Images.wikia.com why is it that this one is soo much bigger than this one: I20.photobucket.com could it be a different class? who knows.

I never noticed that before. The first one is HUGE! it could've stepped on the Ori ships.

It depends of the point of view. The first picture was taken close to the ship. The second is far. So the ship looks bigger in the first picture...

Yes, but if you remember from the series, when they first launch their attack on the Ori ships the Asgard vessel is shown from the side, near enough parallel to the Jaffa and Tauri vessels...

Well it was more to make the more powerful guys seem like actual gods. Remember in the first episode bullets didn't harm jaffa unless helmet was off yet clearly they are being shot and killed with ease 2 episodes later.

The storyline of SGI so far takes place after the know stargate universe, I couldn't find Eomegas exact quote but it goes something like this: "The Asguard will be a faction that broke of from the main one shortly before their suicide." Maybe they created the ship?

Makes sense, surely not all Asgard agreed with the idea of suicide.

Is it possible that they are the Pegasus Asgad?? They could have gotten the Asgard database from the Tauri and made some improovments!!

you know it would have been a good idea to download their genetic information into computers before they started cloning themselves thousands of years prior to the show...... would have saved them the hassle of self genocide(shrugs)....

or just why not ask the tauri to borrow the jumper that could go back in time to stop the whole thing all together.

According to Stargate Wiki O'Neill should be roughly as big as Hive or Ori ships. The one from "Prometheus" or was it next episode? is probably the Valhalla call O'Neill? Like ZPM Hive or smth.
Asgard probably had smaller ships in the same design.

If you want to have ship sizes go somewhere like here to compare.
Conservationreport.com
Or a little more radically you could go to this site.(i say radically because i don't necessarily agree with all of it!!)
