Stargate - Empire at War: Pegasus Chronicles is a total conversion for the fantastic game Star Wars - Empire at War: Forces of corruption.
This total conversion replaces every single Star Wars asset of the original game with Stargate assets. This includes units, buildings, icons, sounds, videos and so much more.

Pegasus Chronicles offers 3 playable races, the Ta'uri (alliance between Earth and the Asgard), Anubis (a mighty systemlord) and the Wraith.

Beside these 3 playable races, you will meet many non-playable ones like the Replicators, the Asurans, the systemlord alliance, the Aschen, the Ori and many more.
Each faction owns several space and land units and buildings, either well known from the series or completely new ones, invented by us.

Many new missions and adventures in the Stargate universe are waiting for you...

Hello dear community,

Got some nice Christmas presents? We might be a bit late but we've another one for you. ;)

But first we would like to thank YOU for your ongoing support! Thanks to all of you we made it into the Top 100 of all Mods on ModDB once again. :)

Advent calendar 2014
(click on "HD view" to see it moving)

We all love the Asgard so we toyed around with ideas for new ships for them a lot in the past. But as you know we want to stay as close to the series as possible and there was not really a need for more Asgard ships as they are part of the Tau'ri faction. So we didn't created more ships.

But then in 2010 we found this:

New Asgard ship - Artwork

An official artwork of a new Asgard ship that was planned to appear in SG-1 Season 7 to introduce a new Asgard character named Odin. This was rejected by the producers, so we never catch sight of this ship in the series.

Alpha Omega Protocol modelled this ship and offered it to us, but without texture. As we focused to release the space skirmish part at this point of time we didn't want to spend resources on it.
However...our 2D artists love the Asgard too! To get his head free from the work on the GCs and ground Imperial created the texture for this vessel.

Watch the video to see it in action for the first time:

Description:

This ship named Sleipnir was once the flagship of Odin the Chairman of the High Council of the Asgard. It is almost twice as large as the O'Neill class. The Sleipnir was the prototype of a new class of battleships. It was built in the final stages of the Replicator War and should then be used against the Ori. To fulfil this purpose, the ship has a new vector shield system, advanced sensors,3 Asgard beam weapons, 4 medium and 2 heavy ion cannons. Also the hull is coated with a special Trinium-Carbon-Compound. Due to malfunctions, the ship had to be abandoned shortly before the exodus and therefore never went into mass production. Finally the Tau'ri explored it abandoned, drifting in the void between the Milky Way and Ida Galaxy. Using the knowledge of the Asgard they could reactivate and almost completely repair the ship. Although the Sleipnir only runs at 80% of its maximum power, this gigantic ship is a flying fortress.

The following community members guessed the ship correctly before the final reveal in our advent calendar: =СРБ=Ori`verda, Cailean_556, Epytron_Omega, deputy-dog, Spinobreaker, LOLROFL and Eaglestorm27.
Sharp eyes ladies and gentleman!

Please note: The creation of the ship doesn't mean that we will build the Asgard up to another playable faction. However it will be a nice addition to our project and it will have its first fly on a special map with the Sleipnir as its main goal.
Both will be released early next year.

Have a save trip to 2015!
Yours,

More than 3 playable races will make the game go unstable :I
We should talk to Petroglyph to solve that well known issue :D

It doesn't - I added a fourth faction fo r'Return of the Clones'. The game is perfectly stable, it's just that AI issues come up that I was never able to solve.

I've seen plenty of mods with more races, sci-fi at war for example has about 12 factions yet it works fine. Also is there a realse date on GC or even an estimation, also if anything the asurans should be a fourth faction as they have enough ship types and are a viable way to make the ancients play-able without ruining the setting, as the ancients affected every series with 2 completely focused around them they are just as important as the goa'uld in they're own right and way.
Also if you capture a certain planet off say the asurans can you then build asuran ships on it?

MapperLocutus Dec 31 2014, 11:47am replied:

The main reason why we are not adding more factions in the amount of work connected to it.
Let's take the Asurans for example: Adding them doesn't just mean make ships buildable. It means 5 different star base levels, at least 3 different satellites, a resource mine, several new infantry units for ground, several new ground buildings, mines and turrets, new scripts to make the AI a thread a skirmish, a ton of new xmls and scripts to get the AI working on the galactic level (it needs to attack, defend, and rebuild stuff), etc, etc.
It's not that isn't doable - but if we want the GCs to be done within the next 10 years we simply can't afford the manpower.

So, does that mean the current GC is scheduled to be released some time within the next ten years? :P

Exactly. We should first finish the three playable factions, so they havecompletenew ground units and ground buildings and not forget the tons of missing ground maps, so the GC's can finally be played. Then we can talk about new playable factions.^^

Btw. with more help in the areas modelling (which includes also texturing and maybe animating) and level design, we could be faster and would make more progress. So somebody interested in?

And the last thing i asked?
Please say it hasn't got a ETA of 10years!!

Depending on the GC you will have the chance to get your hands on certain Ancient ships but you will never be able to build them regularly. For the most part, you're bound to ships of your chosen faction.

And sorry, we can't give any (not even a rough) estimate on our release date. It's done when it's done.
