Stargate - Empire at War: Pegasus Chronicles is a total conversion for the fantastic game Star Wars - Empire at War: Forces of corruption. This total conversion will replace every single Star Wars asset of the original game with Stargate assets. This includes units, buildings, icons, sounds, videos and so much more. Pegasus Chronicles offers 3 playable races, the Ta'uri (alliance between Earth and the Asgard), Anubis (a mighty systemlord) and the Wraith. Beside these 3 playable races, you will meet many non-playable ones like the Replicators, the Asurans, the systemlord alliance, the Aschen, the Ori and many more. Each faction will have several space and land units, well known from the series or completely new ones. Contrary to our first full version for the normal Empire at War, the next release will offer finished GC maps, in which you can play through the known Stargate storylines and experience a lot of never seen missions and adventures.
Lord Anubis approves this ground prop! Remember what he used it for in the TV show? #StargateEaW #PicoftheWeek
Have to ask, can that ancient weapon from the show be used?
I was referring to the weapon that Anubis used against the earth star gate. The big laser thing.
And since you mentioned it, can the Antarctica weapon be used to?
Well, in the original version of this mod it could be used as the defenders special space weapon thingie on any planet it was constructed on. (Earth and Atlantis, if I remember right.) No idea if they're doing the same thing again.
If we integrate it again it will most likely used that way. However probably not buildable on every planets anymore. ;)
I seem to remember it being limited to those two back then, that might just be my memory playing tricks on me because it's been a while and it's just makes so much sense. It might make sense as a late game unlock, sort of an indication that the Tauri have now reached the level at which they can match even the Ancients.
As someone who still plays the old mod, yes it is only buildable on Earth and Atlantis. There was a surface to space missile you could build on other planets though. And the Tollan Ion Cannon you could build on Tollona. Though I was never attacked on Tollona to test it out...
Yeah code wise everything is set up for the ground battle mode and the laser weapon can be fired by the player right into the stargate. Beside of the optical effect there is currently no real damage this weapon would inflict.
We might use it in a tactical mission of some sort. We will see ;)
He tried to use it to blow up the Earth Stargate, then stuff happened involving Teal'c's son and it's now a crater.
YES! That would be a big boom on earth...but it was also on the other site of the attack. :D
