Stargate - Empire at War: Pegasus Chronicles is a total conversion for the fantastic game Star Wars - Empire at War: Forces of corruption. This total conversion will replace every single Star Wars asset of the original game with Stargate assets. This includes units, buildings, icons, sounds, videos and so much more. Pegasus Chronicles offers 3 playable races, the Ta'uri (alliance between Earth and the Asgard), Anubis (a mighty systemlord) and the Wraith. Beside these 3 playable races, you will meet many non-playable ones like the Replicators, the Asurans, the systemlord alliance, the Aschen, the Ori and many more. Each faction will have several space and land units, well known from the series or completely new ones. Contrary to our first full version for the normal Empire at War, the next release will offer finished GC maps, in which you can play through the known Stargate storylines and experience a lot of never seen missions and adventures.

Would probably be better to have something more advanced that can reliably fit through a stargate, though. :p

Also, tanks are expensive.

Are we talking about Kornet or javelin?

Those are too big to fit through the Stargate, however I believe a Bradley or a BTR will fit through.

Also shameless plug: Moddb.com

Technically, a Stargate is wider than any modern MBT, but I'm just not sure if the event horizon is wide enough at 'entry' level.

So I suppose my only question is, what exactly are the Tau'ri supposed to counter this thing with. (Also, why are we calling them the Tau'ri? That's what the enemy named them, if we were to pick a name for all of us that wasn't Earthlings or something we would probably go with Terrans.)

We named it "Tau'ri" because Humans wouldn't fit very well, after all the Milky Way and Pegasus Galaxy is full of human races. So the player always know they are the humans from Earth. And Earthlings/Eartmen sounds not really good as well.^^

You have my assurance that the Tau'ri have enough units to counter this tank, but we will reveal what kind of units in a later news. We decided to give the Goa'uld a Death Glider-like tank because the Wraith also have their vehicles. So it would be a bit unfair to enslave the whole galaxy only with Jaffa.^^

I still think you might have called them Terrans, as that does after all get based off the Roman earth goddess Terra.

At least you didn't go the Starcry route and give the Goa'uld an altered AAT, do Tau'ri vehicles get shields at higher tech levels? I feel like they should get shields.

Latin isn't the general language used by most of the galaxy, though. So it still sounds kind of weird, honestly.

But then again Latin is also Alterran, which is the language of the gate builders, so not so bad. Point is that I can't really see us officially adopting a name given to us by our enemies.

And nobody not on Earth still knows them. Or close to nobody, anyhow.
And pretty much anyone that doesn't speak Goa'uld* is either legible for a surprise plasma shower courtesy of a great big flying pyramid, in hiding, or under Asgard protection.

Kind of petty for a galaxy-wide term that's pretty much just "Those particular guys."

Tau'ri is what the Stargate wikia uses. It seems sufficient enough and has some basis in the series. I feel like SGC could also work as an alternate name though since really the term Tau'ri isn't used much at all.

Oh it is sufficient enough, I'm just nitpicking.

Textures could be a bit sharper (must nitpick!), but in general it's amazing ^^, can't wait to use that.
Any chance of having T14 Armata or PL-01 on the Tau'ri side? I know everyone want Abrams, but Abrams is already everywhere! :D

Don't want to spoiler, but Tau'ri will not get tanks (and if yes then maybe only on the Earth ground map as a special defence unit, but not buildable) and the name Tau'ri will stay. This discussion is nonesense, after all the Wraith are also just named so by the people of the Pegasus Galaxy as well as the some of their names like Todd, Michael, Kenny, Bob or Steve are just gotten (mostly) by Colonel Sheppard.

I think an Abrams beaming down off a Daedalus class ship would be pretty sweet. It's big enough to carry the MBT and with inertial dampeners it would be virtually weightless. Also.. does anyone else have any trouble with larger galactic conquest maps after installing this mod?

There is no galactic or ground in the current version of the mod, we are still working on it so it takes time

Description

The Tal'mak kek will be the Goa'ulds anti-vehicle unit. There are two heavy staff cannons mounted at the front, and for its own defense against infantry, it has a fully rotatable turret on top. Let us know what you think!
