After more than four years of development, we are proud to announce the official release of StarCry !
More than 1000 new objects, 2000 textures, 20 weapons and 1000 lines of dialog were added to the base game to offer a brand new adventure. We estimate around 8 hours of gameplay for a first playthrough. The mod contains many references to famous science-fiction universes (movies, TV shows, video games -famous or canceled-...) alongside original creations, while still having a coherent storyline.
We have prepared instructions (install instructions and default controls) both in English and in French :

Wow congratulations! I remember seeing this for the first time on Crymod, I thought it was another project doomed to fail ;)
A lot of people thought like you. Maybe because 96% of mod projects are never released.
fun fact: almost all the games has a starwars, a stargate, a dragonball, and a zombie mod. and ofcourse they never get relesed, so good to hear about a released project every time.
Yeah, disappointing to see such a lack of original concepts; but always good to see success for mod teams :)
I never thought it for this one. Unlike many other cases, there always was a constant stream of ingame assets.
Congratulations to the author(s), I'll play it as long as I finish the vanilla game - which I bought also for this mod ;-)

This looks incredible, and most of the time, mods with this amount of dedication are excellent gaming experiences. I don't own Crysis, so I think I'm buying it next time I see it on discount to try this.
I bought it less than 4$ in september on steam.
i have been waiting for a shooter/mod in a stargate atmo for years this is great.

I WANTED TO RAGE SO HARD WHEN I SAW THE VIPER... that having been said it looks impressive from the youtube video. and after reading again i noticed that it wasnt explicitly a stargate mod and now i've calmed down a bit... BUT DID YOU REALLY NEED KAMI'S LOOKOUT! damn now i may have to get crysis just for that map >.>
It's not really kami's lookout but we were DB/DBZ fans twenty years ago.

steam version couldnt find the exe. cant figure it out. any ideas?
Steam version is 32bit only. Use the 32bit launcher.
Is it really possible? A SINGLEPLAYER Stargate game? Everyone - both commercial and mod team - only tried out multiplayer, and the only promising story game was cancelled. If this is the real deal, it's nothign short of a miracle, and just as impressive as Black Mesa.
Also, CryEngine 2 has a decent mod example at last. Compared to the dozens of UDK, Unity and heck, even Source engine mods, a high-quality CryEngine mod was long overdue.

It's not a SG game, and CryEngine 2 has a lot of random bugs. It's not a good engine for modders but we made our best.

Pretty cool. Looks convincing at first glance. As you said - you worked with a lot of Crytek's stuff and actually modded it into your own game. Congrats!
I'm surprised at the amount of maps, too. The polar map looks really amazing. I think you should give the CrySDK a try. It's probably a lot nicer to work with than the old tools.
Yes, too much bugs with CE2 (abandoned since 2008), it was a nightmare (the mod is crashing on 10% of computers, random bugs, memory leaks...).
But we started the mod in 2007 and it's almost impossible to convert it to CE3 (too much c++ code, more than one year of work for the maps...). We needed to release the CE2 version ASAP to work on a new project. We can't do better, only two modders for 3D models, textures, code, musics, maps...
You've pulled off an amazing amount of work for a 2 man team. Congratulations. I am looking forward to your future projects :)

The "FULL 1.2 installer" will be for us the most, because it is cerne. after, that we can install the very easy and the 2 save games.
One question, afther coming back to the friends and the cinematic with the tank begin until the boss, it is not possible save the game!!

It's normal. Crysis has many bugs with the save system and the most annoying is the quick save when you are into a vehicle. We had to disable it, like in a few other parts of the game (inside the complex of the the first level). The SDK of Crysis is incomplete and we don't have access to everything.

Yes, "1" is stupid. Most of the time it's from other mods members.
