Brontes IV was a small planet missing from most Confederate navigation charts. At least until all hell broke loose. Now the Swarm advances through a living nightmare of smoke and laser-fire. Protoss rain down from orbit, obliterating Zerg and Terran alike. Amid the ruins of burnt-out cities, a Terran rebellion seethes under the inspiration of a madman. Abandoned by the Confederacy, facing corruption from within, few will endure the planet's darkest hour. Yet, all that rabble needs to become an organized force, is a Leader... Welcome to Brontes IV.

The launcher does not seem to support custom hotkey.Having to relearn hotkey while playing throught the campaign is a pain

Could you please state what has changed and what the mod does.

Changed compared to which version? Because really it's significantly different from both the original and the unmodded remaster, and the mod applies plenty of necessary changes such as the heroes names and stats, balance changes to every faction, and other misc things.

Compared to previous one.
Now it's version 80. What's changed compared to 79. I found that there is no changelog, and these updates are feel quite sudden.

Most of the updates are just fixing small issues or making small changes to a map or two, I would bombard the place with tiny changelogs if I posted one for each. This latest one for example just added a single enemy unit in mission 19. They are sudden because they happen whenever I realize something rather than a planned bulk of changes.

Have these maps been playtested at all? The terran one where you are moving jack from silo to silo seems borderline impossible. The protoss one with the terran ally vs the white zerg also seems borderline impossible with mutalisks, guardians attacking in groups of 30+ a few minutes after the nexus is built. And then the constant attacks from hydralisk and ultralisks just bleeds the bank dry even when the mutalisk/guardians become less threatening.

Yes I happen to have playtested them multiple times and I'm not very good at RTS. Those two exact examples you used are particularly funny because on the former it's possible to literally just fly Morgan to each silo directly without bothering to clear a safe path first if you micro around defenses decently enough and on the latter it's possible to win just with your starting units.
On both of those cases I of course still tried the other approach where I played safe and saved every hostage and macro'd up respectively and it went just fine, for mission 19 specifically your heroes do a great job at dealing with air attacks, Jack oneshots entire groups of Mutalisks at once and Charlie, Demioch, and the NDEGs are excellent against Guardians.

yo this is not the correct game, it is absolutely impossible. compare it to this, mission number 2: Youtube.com

in the version you give, i have burrowed hydras and lings and infested terrans coming out my *** right from the start. also, not aloud to lose a single ghost in your version, and you can see he loses one or two. and this is artosis playing, if he is losing ghosts without infested terrans to deal with, what the **** do i do haha. i was soooo confused on how this campaign was possible after this mission and a few others until i watched that video and realized mine wasnt correct. but, i suppper appreciate you putting this game out there at all! but im hopin we can figure out how to get the right campaign goin. or if somehow i unzipped incorrectly or somethin, which i wouldnt put past me, please let me know if what i described my game as doesnt match up with yours. and, i just redownloaded the newest version and there was no change.

UPDATE: tried a different download from another site, basically the same. the only difference i noticed was that the ghosts were normal ghosts and not duran, and they were red instead of purple. but the zerg were still there. anyways, i guess ill just have to up my game. however, i could be wrong, but i think your version of the nuke level with jack frost would give flash a run for his money. anyone please feel free to let me know if i just suck

This isn't the original Insurrection, it's an updated version I made, there are a tons of changes to every map, making them less broken and more balanced. They're usually harder but in actually deliberate ways instead of the original which was kinda just thrown together.
Artosis is playing the original, and him losing some of the Ghosts in mission 2 doesn't mean it's impossible, you just need to play more carefully (my version also massively buffs them).
This version also comes with a mod you need to play with or a lot of the balance changes won't be there making the maps usually way harder than they're supposed to or some things not making sense (like the Shroud in mission 2 being Duran), you need the 1.16.1 version of the game, it won't work with SCR, you can get it here: Mega.nz
Don't get this version off other sites they will be outdated and/or not have the mod.
You might have to wrestle with your antivirus a bit, they don't like SC1 mods but I can assure you it's safe to use.

hey, thanks for getting back to me and clarifying that i do indeed just suck haha. and yea i did notice the ghost buffs. i actually was playing on what i thought was 1.16.1, but i will try this link, thanks!

UPDATE: turns out ive already been playing on 1.16.1. the ghosts are still labeled as duran, you said that shouldnt be happening? any ideas? and, is the dropship lady supposed to be an overlord? haha

ok, so i just tried the other insurrection download i found (https://www.gamepressure.com/download.asp?ID=71279), and all of the ghosts are no longer duran. the drop ship lady is no longer an overlord, jack frost is no longer guy montag or whatever, etc etc.. so now im more confused than ever

oh that ones made by you too haha. so that one i linked, thats a previous version you made, seems to be working correctly, and this newer one is not, no?

YOOOO ok so my ******* wasnt using the insurrection exe. it works great now! yea had to disable my firewall, **** it, bring em on!

Yes a very outdated version of this didn't use a mod so I had to do what I could with vanilla stuff, I of course have way more tools with modding. The only places you'll find the up to date version is here and in a Mega folder I tend to pass around, other places will almost definitely be outdated.
On that topic, I just uploaded an update that makes a couple of minor tweaks and changes the color of non unique heroic units all across the campaign so you're right in time for that, you gotta download again so that's a bit inconvenient lol.

This mod really got me excited but I have a major problem with hotkeys. Vanilla hotkeys aren't sugar but for people who played this game 10-15-20 years they're written into memory. I wouldn't complain if you changed f.e. A for marines like in SC2 but you changed everything to grid which makes this unplayable for me.
Please for the love of the God tell me if you can or tell me how to revert them back? Thanks in advance for your contribution!
