Okay, as I said before, I've been overhauling the menu graphics. For example, here's what I did with the 'expansion selection' screen:

Yes, yes, I know, the beta wouldn't have had that screen. However, seeing as I can't remove the screen in any way, I decided to use it.

Let's load it up in game...

Oh, something's wrong here, somehow I managed to use the wrong colours for parts of it. Never mind, I'll just scribble around with black for a bit and we'll see...

...Clearly I screwed up. Alright, I'll use the colour picker from an area that is working, and...

Success!

Alright, onto other things. This is what I've got for the login screen:

Alright, I honestly have no idea what I did to achieve that. I probably messed up with palettes or something. I'll have to look into this.

Either way, I'll be getting back to the actual beta stuff soon, don't worry. Expect a screenshot batch within the next couple of weeks.

So the Hydralisk used to have a melee ground attack and a ranged air attack? That would explain why the unit was never shown firing its spines during cutscenes... at least, not until Wings of Liberty.

That's right! Most of the cinematics were made during StarCraft's development, so you can see a lot of those old things. The ending cinematic with the Gantrithor actually shows Mutalisks firing their acid spray attacks at it. It's pretty funny, actually, how many of these 'beta hints' they left lying around.

The building morphing is still a little problem. I'll demonstrate it as soon as I have something worth showing. Hopefully it'll be soon.

It will probably be a while. This is a one-man project (I personally prefer projects with small teams), and I also have a bunch of other projects on the go. Glad you're taking an interest, though!

Well, I've actually had a setback recently. Somehow my MPQ got corrupted as well as my iscript.bin. I'm going to have to restart from scratch, but luckily all my graphics and things are still okay. I'll see what I can do soon.
