This mod plans to be an expansion to Broodwar, just like how Broodwar was an expansion to Starcraft. It will add new units to all races WITHOUT REPLACING EXISTING ONES!!! We will, however, replace heroes and other non-melee-game units and critter graphics to do this. This is for melee games only. The Method:
Graphics for critters and other units not used in melee games will be replaced. Then, I will assign hero units to the newly replaced graphics. The hero units will be modified and will become the new units in this mod.

This mod will also include:
-A campaign telling the events between Broodwar and SC2
-An AI that uses the new units 

New Terran Units:

-Terran Avenger-
Role: Light flyer unit
Strategy: Harass enemies early in the game to gain an advantage
Requires: Academy, Armory, Weapons Center (NEW)
Weapon: Shotgun

-Terran Rocket Trooper-
Role: Heavy assault infantry
Strategy: Since it doesnt have radial splash, it can be used as an infantry support unit
Requires: Academy, Weapons Center (NEW)
Weapon: Long range rockets

-Terran Harbinger-
Role: SUPERUNIT
Strategy: This unit does good damage but is vulnerable to melee units. Be sure to protect your investment.
Requires: Starbase (NEW)
Ground Weapon: Shock cannon barrage
Air weapon: Skyseek missle barrage

-Terran Warcruiser-
Role: Air SUPERUNIT
Strategy: Include a few in your BC fleet...
Requires: Starbase (NEW) 

New Terran Buildings/Addons:

-Terran Weapons Center-
Engineering Bay addon.
Researches building upgrades.

-Terran Accelerator-
Addon for any production building
Requires Armory
Builds the units that are created at whatever it is attached to

-Terran Starbase-
Requires all tech.

New Protoss Units:

-Protoss Knight Templar-
Role: Heavy melee warrior
Strategy: Use with zealots and dragoons
Requires: Templar Archives
Weapon: Dual-edged Psi Saber

-Protoss Ravager-
Role: Ranged support unit
Strategy: These are expensive, keep them in the back of your army for support
Requires: Robotics Facility, Fleet Beacon 

-Protoss Vindicator-
Role: Air SUPERUNIT
Strategy: Use this as the lead unit in an air army. Protect it at all costs.
Requires all tech

-Protoss Marauder-
Role: Air to ground bomber
Strategy: Pair with corsairs for a double whammy!
Requires: Templar Archives, Fleet Beacon
Attack: Anti-matter Bombs

New Protoss Buildings

None for melee games. 

New Zerg Units

-Zerg Crawler-
Role: Ranged fighter
Strategy: Very dragoonlike
Requires: Overmind

-Zerg Leviathan-
Role: Air SUPERUNIT
Strategy: Defend this unit with other air units. It can bombard your foes with some nasty attacks!
Requires all tech
Weapon: Acid Bombs

New Zerg Buildings

-Zerg Cerebrate-
Researches building upgrades
Requires: Lair

-Zerg Overmind-
Trains advanced units
Requires: Cerebrate

Campaign Units:

-Terran Grenadier (UED)-
Role: Heavy support infantry
Strategy: Lay laser drones for defense
Requires: Combat Center
Weapon: Flechette Grenade

1. Avenger Spin Crash

-Avenger may spin and fly backwards. When that happens, the game may crash.

2. Delayed Crash

-With some units, a crash may occur at random times while you control these units. These units have this problem: Harbinger (fortress mode), Ion Cannon, Starbase, mmm...theres another one...

3. Minor Issues

-Forgot to check air flag on ravager air attack! doh!

hi wanted to say this mod is awsome i have treid it out some time and i like, this is the mod i always wanted when i was younger, always wanted to build speciel buldnings in standard game,
i have some ideas to they will mabe suck i don't know.
Is it poseibel to add the Ioncanon? if you can you will only be abel to build on of it and is should be abel to shoot a yamato gun shoot but twice stronger then that is one the battel cruser. and it the gun should not only damge the units it is lock on but some units around it,
i love the starbase for terrans,
To the protoss, seen that they have no specel buldings in melee game,
mabey you can add the warpgate to warp in 5 units at the same time, but only the weakest units of the protoss zealots/dragoons/scout/ and the other fyling thing that only can shoot at flying targets.
And the Protoss temepl you can be abel to recrut the heroes?
but they should only be abel to be recruted once, well frnice twice.
then to the zerg you have already read my mind whit the cerebret and the overmind, i guess you can trian hunter killer whit the overmind and all the other speciel units. then to the cerebret, you should be abel to do super colony, you can chose betwen ground attack colcony or air to do them super like in the brood war camping whit the UED on the ölast misson on char.
well this is my ideas hehe.....

i hope the version vill come soon...

Wow that was long! I didnt add another building for Protoss because there wasnt enough space on the building panels (you can make a special building in the development version though). There already is an Ion Cannon. Also, notice how the current version crashes every 20 minutes or so. The new version will have those bugs fixed.

I got rid of the flying firebat and made it a flying chemical trooper (green firebat :P). The rocket trooper now looks like a marine with a rocket launcher. Many bugs have been fixed too. Expect this is the next release!

To GabeFrazer: Ummm...Wtf? This isnt a map. You dont need a special editor to make your maps playable on Battle.net.

You must run it on the required version of Starcraft. Stop spamming the same problems! I already explained to the other guy the importance of using the correct version of Starcraft. You must use version 1.15 to run Beta v1.

That doesnt really matter now that the Light Edition v1.0 runs on the current version (1.15.1). Get the new version here:
