StarCraft 1.99

Development canceled.

Sorry, we could not find a gfx artist who's able to create more StarCraft 2 units.
For that reason we had to cancel the development.

This mod will combine the classic StarCraft with the gameplay and already known features of StarCraft II.

The mod does not aim to become able to replace StarCraft II (heh... someone laughing there?). It's goal is to bring the atmosphere of StarCraft II into the known 2D universe of StarCraft.

StarCraft 1.99 will support the Terran and the Protoss Tech only. Zerg will not be a playable race in this mod because the Zerg will have to give some of their units and animations to the other races to make transformable units like the Terran Viking possible. Anyway, this is "only" a mod, so Zerg will come in StarCraft 2 ;)

This mod will be available in English language only.

Please have a look at the Help Wanted Requests, there will be manies of them for I am not too good in creating graphics. So I hope there will be some people supporting this.

Note:

Having a lack graphics, this mod is using other people's released graphics. Whoever whishes to have his or her work removed from this mod, please send me a pm or contact me via mail/website.

A big Media Update for StarCraft 1.99 has been released.
Images showing new models for the Terran Thor, Terran Banshee, Protoss Immortal and Terran Merc Haven are viewable in the image section of the mod's profile now. The next demo release (v.0.2) is planned for the next weeks as well.
It will be compatible with Blizzard's official patch 1.15.1. Terran Thor and Banshee still won't be available as buildable, but Protoss Immortal and Terran Merc Haven will.

I havent been able to try this yet, (Im not putting on patch 1.10 right now); but I was alrady thinking about doing this a while ago. If I decide to do so, hope you dont mind?

Wouldnt be a big project, just a little bit of tweaking with the formula.

Well, of course, just do it, I won't mind at all. I guess this idea isn't too new anymore :)

To be honest, I do need a lot of help. I already updated this to v. 1.15, but just see no need to release this demo for the third time.

And, not to mention, the Maplantis Mod Team is working on the same thing as well - I'm beginning to wonder whether it wouldn't be better to cancel this...

You just updated to 1.15? Why not update it again to 1.15.1 (the patch that fixed the 1.15 random crashes). Try some of the exe edits! Oh yeah, enable the "AI finishes uncomplete buildings" exe edit under Build(Terran). Good luck!

Yes, yes, I meant v. 1.15.1 - Latest FireGraft version, you know...

And before I can make the AI finish uncomplete buildings, I will need to add an AI, I guess.... :)

You know, there is a beta for an AI editor more functional than the current SCAIEdit III. It allows use of the "debug" opcode, jumps/multiruns to a label in another script, variables, and storing extra information about your AI. If you are going to make AI I suggest using this one. Its currently a beta version though. I will tell you about this in a PM. There are some uses of the debug opcode that I can share with you that will amaze people when they see your AI.

You're welcome. Ill provide any new information about Firegraft when available. Its just that some people had a problem with the .pat importer, so I thought I should tell you.

In the Maplantis GRP database, theres a few SC2 graphics (command center, barracks, factory) in case you need them (not so great for adding addons though). Im looking forward to not having to downgrade to corrupted 1.10 from SCD3 (notice how "Select Game Type" says "Home Team" and in multiplayer screens, all of the TvB team choices say "Save Replay"). Good luck!

Yeah...Tau is updating Maplantis.org to Latova v2.0.0. Also, when the link is online, do not use SCDowngrader 3 to downgrade to v1.10. SCD3 corrupts v1.10.

Also, Dominik, before you update, there is something I must tell you. The version of Firegraft I linked you to (Official release v0.93) has an issue with importing .pat files (which you will be doing). There is a special patch (with the .exe only) that fixes this problem. I would give you a link, but Maplantis is down (thats where the forum topic with the link is). I cannot post it myself because Im going offline in like 20 minutes.

Upgrade, upgrade, upgrade...! No, wait a sec - Do NOT upgrade :D

Well, that's funny. Yesterday I did. But, no problem, I made a backup of version 1.10. So I can now use both, firegraft and stargraft. :)

Thanks a lot for your support at this point, anyway!
