Starcraft has become one of the most played games in the world and as players eagerly await the release of Starcraft 2, ive created these SC 2 Concept Maps, to allow for players to experience Starcraft as they have never done before. Totally converted for Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne, each map comes with lots of new player features, including new units and Abilities taken from the Starcraft's Ghost Game.

 As the Interview was posted up on the Egames.de website in German, here is the English Translation of the interview Q&A;

Egames: What was the biggest problem in converting Starcraft Maps and Units into Warcraft III?

night_wolveX: Well, there are a couple of factors that limit my ability to completely convert a Warcraft III map into a complete Starcraft map. But probably the biggest problem im faced with at the moment is the 4 megabyte custom map size restrictions on Blizzards Bnet Online Server system. You see Blizzard restrict all custom wc3 maps to a size of just under 4 megabytes, which really limits the amount of material I can add to each of my multiplayer maps. All the space at the moment is currently being used by over a hundred model and skin files, making it very difficult to add more material without going over the 4 mb restriction setting. For the past 3 years, I have been able to avoid this map size restiction by compressing each of my maps, but i can only compress so much, and for now im still under the 4mb restiction. Im hoping that new ways of compressing my maps further will come avaliable to me in the future and push the boundaries of me maximising ever single byte of space im allowed to use in my maps.

Egames: Which game is in your opinion better? Starcraft or Warcraft III?

night_wolveX: Starcraft hands down. Im a science fiction fanatic and love the concept of Aliens vs Humans games and movies. I also don't like the Warcraft III hero sytle of gameplay, which i never understoof and never go the hang of. Starcraft has a;ways been my favourite game of all time.

Egames: What do you think about the Wacraft engine and about the possibilities for modders with this engine?

night_wolveX: It's a fantastic engine to work on. I have seen thousands of custom made maps online so the possiblities must be endless.

Egames: What should everyone who is planning a mod keep in mind, begine he starts?

night_wolveX: The one thing you need to keep in mind when making a mod, is that games are for fun. As long as you have fun making the mod then everyone will have fun playing your mod. Don't let negative feedback take way your excitment to develop your mod how you want it to be.

Egames: Do you have plans for the future?

night_wolveX: Well, I still have so much work still to do. I would like to continue developing my multiplayer maps further and continue to make the maps feel more like Starcraft then the previous version. I also try and add new units and buildings into the project and hopefully the maps will become as popular as DOTA is in warcraft.

I also want to recreate all the original Campaign missions, from both the original Starcraft and Brood War expansion games. I hope that by making these campaign maps, I'll be abloe to learn more about the World Editor and help me improve the Multiplayer maps more. They will also allow me to add Starcraft sounds and computer AI, something have no one has ever seen before on a warcraft III map.
