Star Wars mod for Homeworld 2 (soon for Homeworld Remastered)

Think total annihilation and you'll know where the inspiration for the scope came from.

Over 100 Star Wars ships taken from the entirety of official SW material (will not include fan created ships except in specific circumstances where gameplay requires a role to be filled) Most of the information is based off of star wars technical commentaries and many of the new ships are an attempt to catelogue the ships in dark empire

Has settings for various SW eras and unit selection. Also has various unique multiplayer modes in development.

A single player campaign is eventually planned, but it will be more along the lines of a historical battles format.

currently the mod is playable with almost 80 unique ships, however the whole mod is in a constant state of improvment as new techniques for HW2 editing are discovered or developed.

make sure you have the homeworld 1.1 patch!

make sure no other mods are installed!

start a new profile with each version!

The good news is almost all of the ships work in Homeworld Remastered. The bad news is there a lot of random bugs introduced by the new engine. The initial release when ready will be a bug hunting version. It is actually playable now, but many of the scripts are disabled. No release date yet, but soon

Technical assessment: The nearest scientific minds have been able to tell, turbolaser beams are made of luxon particles. That's really the only error in the technical aspect, and an extremely minor one considering that the physics of turbolasers have stymied many attempts at conceptualization. The ship classifications you've assigned are also quite sensible, considering that SW nomenclature has managed to do the same.


Gameplay assessment: Bugs aside, it's pretty hard to say much of anything negative about this.

In conclusion, congratulations on your mod. I look forward to seeing the finalized version. And may the Force be with you.

I am also having problems with the Clone Wars. Unlike Ventis, however, my research manager just stops providing me with options after a certain point so all I can build are some fighters and most of the frigates, but no corvettes or larger cap ships. The game is still amazing though; as if I expected anything else from the Warlords team!

I am so glad that someone finally did what all of LucasArts would not! The game mod is amazing; the textures are top-notch and you really made great use of the HW2 engine! Just two things that you may want to look into: in the SP TEST, the mission goals and instructions show up as numbers so you have to go into the HW2 files to find out what you're supposed to do, and the Yuuzhan-Vong don't work. It's really cool that you included them, but I (and the computer) have no idea how to get the codexes. As a result, all we can build are resourcers. Anyone know how to work it?

The mod works just fine, except maybe a slight slowdown in FPS when i have 300+ ships on my screen.I only have one problem, I downloaded 0.45 but I can't find the Clone wars units of which there are pics on this site. I used the clone wars build restriction and tried several other options but the only clone wars unit I find is the Dreadnought. Can anyone tell me how i get clone wars units. Plz say which build restriction to use and which options are vital. Also say which side I have to pick to play with them.
