Star Wars: Clones of War will combine the epicness and realism of Men of War with the Star Wars universe. Players will be able to command the Grand army of the Republic or the Droid Armies of the Separatists in a way never seen before, allowing them to experience the Clone Wars as seen in the movies.
Each vehicle and each soldier will be made as close to canon as possible.
In my previous news post, I called out to the community in search of a dedicated exporter, because my problems with exporting were grinding development to a halt. I have not received a reply or offer that stuck and produced anything useful. Apart from activities in real life, that has been the biggest reason for this epic burst of silence on the modpage. Though that doesn't mean I haven't done anything.
Aside from a complete effects and weapons overhaul, I have not stopped modelling, for example. I have focused on trying to design and produce nice props to populate the levels with. Will be a while until I am comfortable showing anything. I have once promised to only really show stuff that was final or significant in a way. I still hold to that, even though I broke that promise many times.
However. There has been a disturbance in the force... Echoes of change are howling in the distance...
I have finally decided to make the switch to Men of War: Assault Squad 2. There are some under-the-hood improvements that the mod will greatly benefit from, aside from more obvious features like the 10-man squad limit and improved performance. Porting has already begun on the infantry side and in the meantime, I will continue my search for someone that can do the exporting and .def files.
