Dear community,
I've noticed some rather disturbing comments floating about. I'm referring to the rather unsupportive comments on the Star Wars - New Version mod. I'm posting this as an update because I encountered an especially tasteless comment on the Star Wars - New Version mod page. To be honest, I didn't even know there was another Men of War Star Wars mod in the making besides Tanks, Muskets and Blasters until now but any Star Wars fan project has my blessing and to conclude this short ‘news' snippet, I would like to say:
Please stop insulting other people's work either here on this page or on the Star Wars New Version page or preferably anywhere. I find such insults to another person's mod and therefore that person's or team's efforts unacceptable. Moddb is a free community where passionate members have the opportunity to freely showcase those efforts and their hard work! So please, let's drop the hostilities and enjoy the fact that there will be plenty of Star Wars to go around!
Thanks in advance,
Morthon
In time that modder and producer of Star Wars Mod - New Version, I totally agree with Morthon. So who wrote this should apologize.
Agree!
I Respect Every Thing Your Doing For This Mod #Respect
im actually looking forward to using both mods side by side along with tanks, muskets, and blasters. :) triple the maps, units, and weapons.
If only it were so easy, considering the changes each one makes, trying to run all 3 at the same time would crash on start.
I was thinking : Just imagine if you work together in just one and unique mod Star Wars. Maybe will you advance more quickly, maybe the opposite but anyway... you should give a try. The result could be awesome for the community waiting for your fantastic work either for you, you could learn from the other modders and teach as well.
Just saying. It may be naive but aren't simple toughts simple to accomplish ?
It's a bit naive indeed, every group or individual modder has their own idea of what and how he wants it so you'd have constant arguing back and forth and get nothing done in the long run. It's why you have so many mods depicting roughly the same events but in many different ways.
Just like how there's dozens of different Omaha beach maps or dozens of re-texturing add-ons for the same units, everyone has their own idea of what that content should look like and that idea often conflicts with another's.
Haters gonna hate. You should just ignore them and let downvotes on their comments do the job.
Agreed buddy
