Star Wars: Interregnum is an upcoming mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion that builds off of the highly successful Enhanced 4X Mod. Fleeing the unknown terror that is chasing the Vasari, the factions of Sins of a Solar Empire stumble on a temporary wormhole that takes them to a galaxy far, far away. The sudden arrival of armadas with trillions of refugees and thousands of warships between the events of Episodes 5 & 6 forever alters the Star Wars universe and plunges the galaxy into an unprecedented period of chaos and violence. Begun, a new conflict has.
We're rapidly finishing up the Alpha 3.1 Graphics patch. Among the more interesting little details are a few new meshes for Alliance civic structures. This should help give them a more distinct, civilian and run down feel compared to the Empire.
From left to right is the new Refinery, new Military Lab and a new Civic Lab. The civic lab I believe is a new creation of ERock's based on the Refinery.
Is it possible to have multiple models for one entity, and a random number generator that determines which one is chosen for construction? It would give even more convincing of an appearance in that the Rebellion is genuinely rag-tag and will take what they can get.
Nope. Also unless the model was being used for something else, I'm not sure if that's a feature worth taking up the RAM space. But it would be cool!
Please tell me,that you'll do the same for the Empire. It would be just amazing.
Uh, what's wrong with the Empire's structures? I don't think we want their space stations to look run down and civilian looking. :p
Noo,not in that sense. What i meant is that i hope, that you'll make some different structures for the Empire. If i remember correctly they still have the combat and civilian station models from SoGE (i.e they kinda look like that medical space station from the Clone wars cartoon).
Is that a problem? Personally, I think those are some of the most Imperial-ish stations I've seen in their look and feel. Most of the other Star Wars space stations look more like these, not modern and organized like we would want for the Empire.
Personally, I think it would be cool to see one of them replaced. The civilian one looks cool as the Clone Wars medical station without the posts, but a more military station might be cool instead of the same model with a couple extra pieces. My two cents. :)
Looks awesome, they really look like they used to be shipping stations or something.
