Star Wars: Interregnum is an upcoming mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion that builds off of the highly successful Enhanced 4X Mod. So, it is basically official that there will be an Alpha 3.1 patch to give you guys some of the cool graphical updates we've been showing off. One of my favorite is ERock72's take on a Torpedo Marauder. It keeps the four warhead launcher approach from Empire at War's version yet manages to look more authentic. Also, new team colors and engine particle. :-)
We're also including a handful of buffs to the Rebels, since many people feel that they are the weakest faction thus far. Among these changes is that the Marauder will gain the Torpedo Salvo ability currently used by the Torpedo Turret after you research it in the defense tree, which will greatly improve the Marauder's damage and shield penetration.
The pirates and militia will continue using the standard turbolaser variant they currently have, with no model change.
With the proper mix of capital ships aren't the rebels powerful in their own way - weak alone, but strong united?
Yeah, but they really should have had a few more frigate abilities. Every long range frigate has an ability... besides the Gladiator, which has a TIE Squadron. Seemed like the Marauder deserved one too.
