Expanding Fronts is a massive modification for Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds aimed to breathe life back into the classic LucasArts strategy game by adding various new units, features, and gameplay elements. Each of the 8 civilizations are being reworked and enhanced to make each feel more unique and authentic to the universe, while maintaining the classic Battlegrounds gameplay. In addition, the Scenario Editor is being filled with hundreds of new units, buildings, effects, triggers, and objects to allow campaign and scenario designers more freedom than ever before.

By default the LAAT uses anti-personnel lasers for standard combat. When infantry units are loaded into it, the secondary weapon is activated - a composite-beam laser effective against troops and light vehicles.

sorta, this unit functions the same as one of our Empire mech units, its really more to provide a boost to the unit in question, seeing how it can only hold one trooper (the tank anyways) I believe the LAAT can hold more then one though, Dallows?

Yes. The LAAT can carry up to 10 infantry units.

There's one thing I gotta ask: One thing that always bothered me about infantry upgrades was the final one, the Repeater Trooper. I always felt that unit should have been another type of infantry of its own. Always looked kinda akward to me to see like 20 troopers all carrying repeater blasters.

The Repeater Trooper is now its own unit that can be created alongside Heavy Troopers.
