are ISD's just for Scenario building? Or will we see a new tech level for the base game?

They are only for scenarios, yes.

Maybe I could beg for an optional addon? The most iconic capital ship for each faction replacing the old air cruisers? Mon Calamari cruiser for Alliance, Venator for Republic, Star Destroyer for the Empire. I would kill for that option...

I always hated that they used random designs for a unit that would so obviously work as a ship we know...

Wouldn't work.
1. Those units are too large to be viable in a standard game; you wouldn't be able to see half of your base with even one of them floating around, much less 20.

2. Air Cruisers are very easy to kill, A swarm of Gungan fighters wiping out your fleet of Venators in a few seconds would be wrong on several counts.

3. What 'iconic capital ships' do the Gungans, Wookiees, and Naboo have?

Capital ships will never be added to the standard game roster of EF; this is non-negotiable.

How does the larger ships function actually? Some ships, like the mon calamari destroyer has these multishot batteries, while a super star destroyer shoots only one weak shot? The same goes for some corvettes, which only have 2 damage per shot. Are these strictly anti air units, or are they just a work in progress?

We're still working out how they should function in general, yes. The general idea is that smaller ships like the CR90, Tartan, etc will be strictly anti-fighter.

Interesting, would love to see them finished sooner or later.
While you did say that destroyer class ships and up would not work because obvious reasons, what about the corvettes you just mentioned? Would be a cool "game ender" unit.
Also, the "special" clone troopers, are they all without upgrades for now?

Loving the mod so far, i found it just a week ago, and i was so happy that one of my great nostalgia games got such a good mod!
