Wow! Units can pass under the rock archs?
And I insist repeater troops can be done separately with current assets. Just make it an better armored, slower infantry (recruit or lower speed), more expensive anti-infantry unit available from tech 2. Like the mortar units are anti-mech. It use could be defensive positions or in the battlefield transported to the action.

I think you're right. Repeater troopers shouldn't be main frontline infantry.
They can be on the same role as Machine gunners in Empire Earth 1. Or simmiliar games such as first Rise of nations.

Yes Yes Yes I never understood why they were the main form of infantry they should have more of a support role.

Making a change like that requires a lot of planning and tweaking so that we don't make something too powerful, or render an existing unit worthless. For example, what reason would you ever have to manufacture normal Troopers when Repeaters could do the same job better? Troops in general are largely forgotten about once Mechs and Air become more prominent (something else we need to look into); the abundance and low cost of transport units would make low speed a negligible issue; Deployables would require new animations; and we would need to create a new TL4 Trooper upgrade for everybody.

This isn't an outright 'No' to the idea, but we rushed it too much on our first attempt at it in the beta without thinking it through enough. We'll continue going over the possible options and will let everyone know once we've come to a solution.

I understand, and you are right I just think it would be more fitting for a new TL4 trooper to be designed if that is at all possible I like looking at the Repeater as more of a support role. But in the end it is up to you thanks for at least looking into it. :)

And, again, I have to ask, who is going to build and animate that new model?

i liked the option of having both the repeater and heavy gunner buildable side by side, though the heavys needed a firepower boost to compensate though.
