I was expecting the IDT when I clicked on this lol. Is this a troop transport from the EU or did you guys make it up yourselves?

The transport was originally a toy released by Kenner in the 70's. One of the first of their Star Wars toys not based on something that appeared in the films. It only had a handful of comic book appearances until recently.

Star Wars: Rebels gave the vehicle a slight redesign and made it a significant part of the Empire's ground arsenal. Our design is based on their interpretation, as seen in the background of this image.

Ah thats where it came from. I never really got into star wars comics or toys and I detest the cartoons (although I haven't seen an episode of Rebels yet)but this looks nice. I personally think it looks more like a cargo ship than a troop transport though. Probably because of the container looks shapes on the sides.

It's sort of used as both in the show. This also carries over to EF. There will be two variants of this vehicle; one as a troop transport, and the other decorated with various cargo containers.

You should give it a chance, it's pretty good unless you're an Old Canon elitist that finds change evil. You should give both cartoons a chance

It's mostly that I found the characters to be ridiculously written and the artwork to be bulbous and strange. I kinda liked the first clone wars cartoon series but the second one lacked any sort of depth for adults to watch and was clearly geared towards an exclusively child audience.

It is true for the first season mostly which seems really like a caricatural american series at best, but once you go trough the seasons, the darker and more mature it becomes, and Obi-Wan Kenobi is very well written in my opinion. It is in that series that he became a all time favirute character who will have its own live movie spin-off thanks to that second Clone Wars series. But I stil have a crush for the first handdrawn series !

I thought the first series was better (although a little weird sometimes in content)In the second series it just seems like the characters overplay their stereotype way too much. For example why do Jedi all have to be expressionless statues and why do the droids have to be dumber than dumb and dumber?

Looks like a miniature Carrack Cruiser! Must be what inspired the Carrack

Very nice, and yeah, will it have attack capabilities?

It will be able to fight, but it won't be very good at it.

It's more like being able just to defend itself against probes and few light infantry and recon units, like many transports in many RTS games... Nothing to be ashamed of.
