Thrawn image - Star Wars BattleFront Commander mod for Star Wars: Empire at War: Forces of Corruption
Star Wars BattleFront Commander, is a mod based around and dedicated to Free Radicals version of Swbf3, with adding small gameplay features from pandemic's swbf2
So ever since i seen Thrawn and his new ship the Chimaera i've wanted to do a overhaul of him for the mod and here it is.
So what will happen to Thrawn's ship the Admonitor well that ship wont be going away basically what's going to happen is Thrawn will have his normal ship ability he always had but this time around he will be getting a second one the deploy squadron ability just like the Executor has which will allow him to deploy/ hyperspace in the Admonitor to his location at a moments notice which will have a complement of Tie Defenders and Clawcrafts.
Also the reason Thrawn is using a E-11 is well he was really bad ass with it in the episode Through Imperial Eyes and idk i just wanted him to use one.
I don't have the Chimaera decal on the ISD's in this mod just yet but i do for the ones used in Shattered Empire but since it's a decal and not apart of the texture it will be a easy swap.

Jeez, don't tell me that's how Chimaera looks in the new canon. For god sake, Thrawn is a well respected, almost-textbook definition of the imperial Grand Admiral, not a freaking pirate king who'd paint his Star Destroyer with some weird decals.
Yep, This is what his ship looks like in the rebels series. His stormtroopers also have the decal on their pouldrons I think.

In both legends and the new cannon Thrawn has a passionate appreciation for Art, he also in both Legends & Canon has a art gallery in his warship (Imagine that, a Art Gallery in a WARSHIP).
It only makes complete sense for Disney to go that one step further and give his ISD a ornate aesthetic of a Chimaera on the belly of the ISD Chimaera. The crew of his ISD also all have styalized Chimaera badges on their uniforms.
Considering in Legends Thrawn laid the groundwork for the Empire of the Hand & all the Edgy unique stuff that came with that, it never really made allot of sense to me why Thrawn himself didn't have any unique themes during his Imperial Campaign.
At the very least his Flagship could be artsy and I for one am glad Disney made him stand out a lil bit more. I welcome more moders to add this new Chimaera.
Personally, I can imagine him having his Star Destroyer appear differently than others. The man does admire many forms of art. It isn't far fetched if he decided to add something he truly admires to his ship.
Well if it bothers you sooooooooo much, get off your pitiful ******* *** and apply for a job at Lucasfilm. Maybe you have the power to change it. If not, quit griping.
He's no pirate, but Thrawn chose to name his flagship the "Chimaera" for a reason, and since he has a unique appreciation for art, and since it also makes sense from a "stand out" standpoint, that he would personally adorn his ship with that particular decal. Remember, the clones painted decals on their gunships and armor too - it's an expression of personality and a trait not exclusive to any type of person.
Am I great Thrawn fan myself and this is a lovely nod to the character and its love for art plus it makes the Chimera unique and gives it character.
Please, for all of us who dislike/hate the new canon, PLEASE include an alternate skin addon. Like Mister_Vogel said, he isn't a pirate king. If not, well, wouldn't be the first time I edited a mod for myself.

Will u be adding a variant of Stormtrooper where Thrawn is, that has his artwork on their shoulders? like a planet Thrawn orbits? or could spawn with him?
Could be a Commander reskin. Since they have "Elite Stormtroopers" with them when they spawn. That'd be a nice deet'
