So i get on Facebook and seen Kotaku had posted something that said Disney Shuts down Lucasarts and i had to take a double look cause i didn't think it was real and after reading it i got one of the most sicking feelings in my stomach, i in all my life have never gotten this torn up over a company closing, So long Star wars Battlefront,Star Wars 1313 and Star Wars First Assault, you will be missed.

You people need to learn how bad lucas ****** up the last 3 movies, in which he had most control over the actual acting and script. Now that disney has taken over the star wars saga finally some good movies can be made again. Need I remember you people that Disney created movies with actual story in them, movies that meant something? God do you need a ******* list or something or can you get to your senses by yourself?

I hope they tear up lucas arts good, it's been more than 5 years since the last good star wars game came out and don't even start with TFU or any of that crap, do some research for the love of god. Disney will finally save us from more horrid games and cash grabs and further exploids of the star wars franchise and put some order to buisness. I have full faith in them that they will create better games and god knows 10 times better movies than lucas has. When the new movies come out you'll all suddenly stop crying and bitching about it because you'll know how dumb you're acting right now.

Its not about how bad LA did on any movies or games or what the hell ever the fact is they just eliminated a company that has been a part of our lives for decades! No body has to agree with your opinion nor mine you feel they ruined it not every one. Sometimes some opinions like your need to be kept to themselves dude. I don't like disney, I do not support, disney. I am stating that they made a bunch of good stuff that is way better than the star wars games of recent years. This doesn't make me pro-disney. Also:
The people on lucasarts who made actual good games have been cicled out for years now, the company is only as good as the people working there and they've long left or got booted, you're worshiping a dead corpse of a company who you think are still capable of making good games, yet the people who are capable are not associated with the company anymore. This, and the fact that about 0.1% of all the people commenting "OH NO DISNEY TOOK OVER LUCASARTS! LETS BURN DISNEY TO THE GROUND!" realise this, and it makes me so damn angry at all those ignorant fanboys. It's really quite sickening if you think about it. This community is being broken into 2 parts: One that goes with the DEATH TO DISNEY bandwagon, and the other part of people who know how the situation works and what's really going on, and has been going on for years. Sadly, we're outnumbered by the far dumber first part, which is a sad state of affairs, and can be fixed if people would just start seeing for once, how buisness actually goes. And I'm absolutly loving all the negative karma that's being issued because that gives a clear representation of what kind of people visit this page. Like a bee hive.

Well.. I certainly like the action and stuff.. But to see han solo died... It really something that i don't like....
I liked TFU, to be honest, the rest however, not so much.

Excellent. LucasArts hasn't been doing anything good since they shifted to internal development. All of the best SW games were made by third-party companies who were given the SW license; Pandemic, Raven Software, Factor 5, Secret Ladder, Petroglyph, Ensemble, Bioware, etc.
All LA did was toss money at them, and they churned out successful products. Hopefully Disney will return to this form.
Honestly I will not miss Lucasarts one bit. For several years all he did was destroy the great villains he created. Vader and Grievous. Hopefully Disney will bring them back to their dark glory.
Personally, im a little shaky on the movie idea, but two of lucas arts most sucessful titles, Kotor and battlefront were outsourced games to pandemic and bioware. So as long as disney outsources to well established companies im fine. Also battlefront 3 is a must.

LucasArts created wonderful games FOR THE NEWER GENERATION so if u don't like the episodes 1 to 3 of course u don't like the games which included them. I'm 15 years old, I grew up with the first three episodes and with the games and I enjoyed it. I ever hoped that Star Wars Battlefront 3 comes out and I still hope it. I never was a big Disney fan and as I heard that Lucas sold his companies to Disney I feared the worst and now Disney can't make it worser!

Well Disney have given EA the SW licencing I believe because DICE are making the new Battlefront (I hope it battlefront and not just Star Wars: Battlefield)
