...New in 1.0F...

New Capital Ships: Intego (Hand), Lucrehulk (Alignment), Torpedo Sphere (Remnant)
Fixed multiple bugs
Several balancing changes
Some new tech and abilities
Many performance optimizations

As opposed to being a content-oriented release, 1.0F (or 'full') is intended to fix several of the issues in 1.0 before we work on breaking the game again for 1.1 For a more comprehensive overview, see here.

Imperial Entanglements

I've scheduled it to release about when I intend to wake up, so I can put out any fires all day because I'm selfish like that. Otherwise my phone will blow up while I'm asleep and I don't like that. - Corey

Ascendancy 1.0f (For Sins V1.82 STEAM)

The version for v1.82 is available now, with support for 1.83 coming as soon as possible

Before playing the mod to increase stability, also enable Large Address Aware to bypass Sins' 2GB memory limit issues. LAA is included in the download, simply open it, set the mode to basic, find your Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion.exe file and click the box to enable large address aware, then save. This only needs to be done once, so if you have already done it for other mods you can skip this step.

...Game Days...

In order to facilitate multiplayer matches for our players, we'll be doing pre-planned community game nights on predetermined weekends with Ascendancy players and developers. The first of these days will be Saturday May 7th, at 2pm EST and will be hosted on lead developer Corey's personal stream, at www.hitbox.tv/CoreyLoses . Access for games that day will be first-come-first serve, and depending on how people feel about it it, we'll look at different ways to expand this.

Onwards and Upwards

1.0 may have just been released (or be about to be released, if you're reading this before noon on release day), but we've already started working on 1.1, including a longer version of this news post on our forums with reflections on 1.0, general plans for 1.1, and an exciting new mechanic for 1.1. It'll be posted here once the release post has its time in the sun, but in the meantime you can see some of our thoughts on 1.1 here: Thrawnsrevenge.com

*walks out onto bridge of the Alignment Space Vessel (A.S.V.) Bellator*

"Today is the end of the Republic! The end of a regime that acquiesces to disorder! At this very moment, in a system far from here the New Republic lies to galaxy! Even as they preach peace and co-existence, they plan the utter destruction of all who would refuse to bow to them and their will! This fierce warship, upon which we now fly, will darken the skies of Coruscant, and every other world upon which the Republic scum has set foot! And all remaining systems, will bow to the Pentantstar Alignment, and today will be known, AS THE LAST DAY OF THE REPUBLIC!"

...

Sorry...

I couldn't resist... That said, I hope you'll add the ISD 1 back at some point, maybe not as a starter ship but just a capitol ship, I really liked that one...

It's still in the Remnant, the PA just needed more to differentiate it from the IR, and early game capital ships are a good place to do that.

truth, I think for balance purposes you've reached a great point.

I would suggest addons/submods for the other things. God knows I've completely changed the capital ship line up (added more all round, but I'm okay with duplicates on some ship classes - Nebulon B frigates, Correllian Corvettes, Dreadnaughts, VSDs, etc)

Tried to install it but i don't have sins. I have the full 2.1 imperial civil war. Not sure if this is the same mod or something different. If you could shed some light for me thru this that would be awesome. Looks great!

Imperial civil war is for Starwars empire at war: forces of corruption. Ascendancy is for Sins.

Why are the Ship factories so much money to build? The Frigate factory costs 6000 credits and the Capital Ship factory is 9000 credits.

One of many things we're working on to make individual facilities/ships more valuable and worth protecting, instead of something you spam (which contributes to the late-game problem where people can produce ships faster than they lose them).
