The Pentastar Alignment may focus on its fighters, but its ships are not to be taken lightly either. Here you can see the Secutor Star Destroyer and some Acclamators in an engagement with an (unpictured) Empire of the Hand fleet. The Secutor is the largest dedicated carrier in the game; at 2200 meters it matches the Allegiance, however its role is more utility oriented.

Are those smaller ships Arquitens-class Light Cruisers?
Yes.

I am confused as to what ships I am seeing here. Can somebody enlighten my dark blissfully ignorant mind?
In the middle you have the Secutor class Star Destroyer, just below it and above it there is two Enforcer/Vindicator class heavy cruisers. The Third ship above the Secutor is a Gladiator class Star Destroyer with another near the explosion with three Arquitens class Light Cruisers and the bottom left close to us is an Acclamator class Assault ship.
Will the alignments fighters actually be able to go up against new republic fighters or with the NR just wreck everything with their fighters like in ICW?
NR has stronger fighters, PA has more.
