Interrupting our regularly scheduled Imperial-fest for some more New Republic love. This time, the A-Wing, which serves as an interceptor and is a hardcounter to the Executor class. Also, we've got a fancy new render setup.
Model: Wildcat (660 polies)
Skin: Codeuser
hardcounter to the Executor class.

Absolutely beautiful skin. Very simple yet effective model, great for small ships like this. Love it.
Only point of crit is that the red paint lines are very "clean". If you're going for a little more worn out look perhaps make it slightly inconsistent.
The actual painting would be very clean, it's scratches which would make it inconsistent (which are there), not where it gets painted or else whoever made it would likely be fired by the navy.
Also, if you look at a "real" A-Wing, there's a slight lip where (most of) the red part meets the white part, so even an intern New Republic painter on his first day would have a hard time screwing up the paint job, however considering the size of the ship and the memory limits of Sins, that lip fell beneath what we felt was necessary for the model, so it wasn't modeled in.
"Increase the forward firepower, I don't want anything to get through,"
"TOO LATE!!"
BOOM!!!!!
Nice.
Looks great, i wanted to offer a very small critique. The overall model and texture is great but the area by the cockpit there is a random plate edge that is floating and does not connect to anything.
Great work probably just overlooked i do it all the time :-)
I actually noticed that in the reference pic I was using ( Img3.wikia.nocookie.net ) but decided to roll with it anyways. I did add extra lines to cover it up, now that you mention it though. Nice catch!
My all-time favourite starfighter, harking from my first foray into SWBF II all those years ago.
I'm always happy to see it done so beautifully.
Amazing detail. I am in AWE.
Don't you dare insult the A-Wing.. She's a Beautiful Combination of Speed and Maneuverability she is by all means.. PERFECT!!!
