A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away... This is how the most famous space opera begins. With this mod we want to bring the Star Wars universe to the upcoming CryEngine 3. You will be able to play the whole saga from the movies when this is finished, but until then it is a lot of work... Mainly this will be a single player mod, but we will probably add multiplayer as well. We want to use most of the new features of the CryEngine 3 as procedual destruction, deferred lightning and so on as good as possible. Furthermore we want to create a couple of new features like a sabersystem, the force and much more...

o.O ugly texture
This isn't really textured, it was a small test by myself, so this is not the texture which the tantive is going to have later, I think we can texture this model mostly with the original Crysis textures...

@ ODemuth,

i have to say that this is probably one of the view great models made in sketchup. great detail and use of plugins.

I got a question about texturing. I know you said that you will use crysis textures, but if you dont then you project an image right? (like you did in the preview). However just one side looks good, the top for example doesnt look good, because the texture is strectched on for example round textures. how do you solve that problem.

greetings gametime

ps: where do you get these great blueprints from?

Thanks

I don't have many experience with texturing, but I think there are three possibilities:
1. You can split up the area, for example a cilinder, into four pieces, then you project the texture on every quarter
2. You can project the texture on every polygon of the cilinder, it has to be a cilinder, otherwise it looks very ugly
3. You can use this plugin: Forums.sketchucation.com for uv mapping and external texturing (I haven't tried this plugin but perhaps I'll try it later)
I found the blueprints on google but here is the direct link: Deckplans.00sf.com

P.S. Are you the same gametime from Crymod with the STAR WARS MOD?
